Abstract :

This study examines the employer's responsibility in ensuring workers' job security within the framework of Iranian labor law and, by providing a comprehensive analysis of related laws, policies, and practices, addresses the importance of this issue in the economic and social sustainability of the workforce. Job security, as one of the fundamental rights of workers, has been emphasized in various laws, including the Constitution of the Iranian Labor Law; however, in practice, numerous challenges, such as ambiguity in guaranteeing the implementation of the Note to Article 30 of the Labor Law and the lack of effective support structures, have made the implementation of these laws difficult. The main purpose of the study is to explain the legal obligations of employers towards job security and to examine the legal consequences resulting from the violation of these obligations. In this regard, the descriptive-analytical research method has been used to evaluate the different dimensions of this responsibility. This study shows that the lack of an economic and cultural framework to support decent work relationships, coupled with ineffective enforcement of labor laws and weak supervision of employers, has led to weakened job security and serious harm to the workforce. The results of the study indicate that measures such as reforming the employment structure and employment contracts, reviewing the conditions for terminating the employment relationship and its effects, such as clarifying the guarantee of implementing Article 30, and drafting the statute of the Unemployment Insurance Fund, along with strengthening executive supervision and creating support frameworks, can help better protect workers' employment rights and reduce the social and economic harm caused by unemployment. This study emphasizes the importance of reviewing laws and policies related to workers' .rights and its key role in improving employment conditions
