Abstract :

The aim of the present study was to identify and analyze the components of perfectionism in Farhangian University students. The statistical population of the study was male students of Farhangian University, Khorramabad Branch. type of qualitative research is phenomenological.  total of 15 male students of Farhangian University of Khorramabad were selected through voluntary-purposive sampling and were examined through semi-structured interviews. data extracted from the semi-structured interviews were analyzed using the phenomenological method and coding to extract main and sub-themes. main themes extracted included: job and management effects, social effects, psychological-psychological effects, and individual effects, each of these main themes included a number of sub-themes. findings showed that in relation to the psychological effects of perfectionism on students' lives; Occupational-managerial, social, mental and psychological effects... and among the factors related to parents and  family environment; personality-behavioral characteristics of parents, mental and psychological conditions of children, . play a role in the perfectionism of children in the future, and in relation to the impact of high-level criteria and standards on perfectionist students; behavioral, skill characteristics... play a role in the growth and promotion of perfectionist students' talents, in relation to the impact of community orientation on perfectionism, personality, social, mental and psychological characteristics... these people have the greatest impact on students' self-destruction, isolation and depression, and in relation to the impact of perfectionism on students; behavioral characteristics... students play a role in increasing students' motivation and improving the academic performance of University students
