Explaining the effective indicators for increasing the quality of space in an urban complex (Comparative study of the Naqsh-e Jahan Square complex in Isfahan and the Ganjali Khan complex in Kerman)

Abstract :

An urban complex is a collection of buildings that meet urban needs. Two examples of large squares are Naghshe Jahan Square and Ganjali Khan Square in Kerman. There are indicators as factors that improve the quality of the environment in these squares that this research seeks to explain. The research directs the attention of urban managers to organizing, beautifying, and improving the quality of their environment and equipment in order to attract users. The method is a combination of library work and fieldwork by examining historical and geographical sources, recording and recording information related to buildings, which explains the architectural style, architectural indicators, characteristics of the materials used and the walls, the quality of the environment, and the decorations used in the building. The research seeks to find answers to these two questions: What do Naghshe Jahan Square and Ganjali Khan Square in Kerman have in common? 2- What are the indicators effective in increasing the quality of the environment in the above squares? And the objectives are as follows: 1- To analyze the indicators that improve the quality of the environment in the Arsan of Naqsh-e Jahan and Arsan of Ganjali Khan, Kerman 2- To explain the similarities and differences between the Arsan of Naqsh-e Jahan and Arsan of Ganjali Khan, Kerman. According to the results of the research, the indicators related to the readability of the space, the existence of diverse uses, the texture of the flooring and the color of the walls, the enclosure, the permeability, the reminder of the culture and history of the past architecture of Iran, the absence of cars, appropriate furniture and night lighting are among the common indicators that improve the quality of the Arsan environment.
