Identifying productivity indicators based on the model of good urban governance With Thematic Analysis (case study: municipalities of Lorestan province)

Abstract :
Nowadays, the use of new management methods and good governance is of particular importance in the administration of cities. The purpose of this research is to identify effective indicators in the productivity of municipalities in Lorestan province based on good governance indicators. The research method in this research is mixed exploratory (qualitative-quantitative). Scientific and research articles that are indexed and accessible in the field of good governance and productivity have been used to collect the required information and data. Thematic analysis method has been used in this research. Among the indicators used in the research history, 358 indicators were extracted with 782 repetitions. Then, after coding the indicators and removing the incomplete and unrelated codes, 159 selective codes (indices) were obtained. After that, themes were created and according to the review, refinement and formation of sub-themes, 14 sub-themes (components) were obtained. After repeatedly defining and revising the main themes, 5 main themes were finally presented. Finally, the qualitative data were carefully examined by 20 academic experts through semi-structured interviews. The result of this study led to the reduction of selective codes from 159 to 81 codes and there was no change in the main and sub-themes. The obtained results indicate that productivity is based on the good governance of the set of management structure factors (efficiency and effectiveness, strategic vision, flexibility and foresight), participation (participation and consensus building), rule of law (rule of law and political stability and non-violence), justice (justice, curbing corruption and transparency) and evaluation and accountability (accountability, performance evaluation and responsibility).
