Abstract :
The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the mediating role of pain catastrophizing and perceived injustice in the relationship between pain acceptance and quality of life of women with breast cancer in Isfahan city. The current research is of a descriptive-correlation type, which was conducted based on the structural equation model. The statistical population of the research included all women with breast cancer in 1401, who were selected using the available sampling method, 240 people. The measurement tools included quality of life questionnaires (Ovar et al., 1996), pain acceptance questionnaire (McCracken et al., 2004), pain catastrophizing scale (Sullivan et al., 1995) and injustice experience questionnaire (Sullivan et al., 2008). Data analysis was done using 24SPSS and 22AMOS software. The results showed that the model has a good fit with the observed data (3CMIN/df < 90, IFI > GFI, AGFI and RSME < 10). The results indicated that the direct effect of pain acceptance on catastrophizing (p<0.001), pain acceptance on perceived injustice (β=0.40, p<0.001), catastrophizing on quality of life (β=0.40, (p<0.019) and perceived injustice on quality of life (β=0.40, p<0.001) is significant, while acceptance of pain did not have a direct and significant effect on quality of life (p<0.067). Also, the results showed that pain acceptance is significant on quality of life through the mediation of pain catastrophizing (p<0.01) and perceived injustice (p<0.006). Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that in the process of treatment and counseling of breast cancer patients, therapists and psychologists can pay special attention to the role of the catastrophizing components of pain and perceived injustice in increasing the quality of life.
