Abstract :
Women's political participation, as one of the most important issues in today's world, requires careful attention and study. This research was conducted with the aim of designing an empowerment model and providing solutions to increase women's active participation in achieving sustainable political development in Iran. The statistical population consisted of 19 experts in the fields of sociology, political science, management, and women's studies, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The research method was qualitative (interpretive) and quantitative (positivist) using the content analysis method in the qualitative part and the interpretive structural equation method (ISM) in the quantitative part. The analyses were conducted with Excel and MiMac software. The findings extracted from this research led to 144 basic themes, 35 organizing themes, and 13 overarching themes. The validity of the qualitative data was confirmed using the Guba and Lincoln method. In the results of this research, 13 main variables for women's empowerment were identified and analyzed with the ISM model. The model consisted of 6 levels, including empowerment through education and religious teachings, the formation of a balanced society, and political reforms. These methods lead to increased women's participation, sustainable development, and democracy. This research identifies key variables and analyzes the relationships between them, and presents a new model for women's empowerment in the political field.
