Presenting the social responsibility model with an Islamic approach in Iran's higher education system based on the foundation data theory

Abstract :
Introduction: Today, universities need a set of ethical guidelines to perform their tasks with the most efficiency and effectiveness and as a result to fulfill their goals and missions, in addition to complying with organizational and legal standards and regulations. To help in this way, the concept of "social responsibility" has been formed. The aim of the current research was to present a model of social responsibility with an Islamic approach in Iran's higher education system based on the foundational data theory. research methodology: The qualitative research approach has been carried out using the foundational data theory method. The participants in the research were selected from experts and professors who are knowledgeable in social responsibility issues with an Islamic approach, who have been involved with the dimensions of the problem and the subject of the research during many years of work experience in various academic fields. In this research, theoretical and purposeful sampling method was used with theoretical data saturation criteria. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants. The time of the interviews varied from 30 to 80 minutes. After conducting each interview, the researcher implemented the interviews and determined the concepts and categories related to them. After conducting 18 interviews, no new categories were provided to the interviewer. To determine the validity and reliability of the data, the review of participants and the review of non-participating experts were used. Findings: After three stages of open coding, central coding and selective coding, 31 subcategories and 220 open codes were obtained from the data analysis, which in this article, in the framework of the paradigm model, include: causal factors, central phenomenon, background factors, Intervening factors, strategies and consequences have been analyzed. Conclusion: Therefore, we conclude that the social responsibility of the university can be used effectively by the universities to ensure development and sustainability for the university and the society. The main result of the research was that humanitarian activities are one of the main elements of the university's organizational identity program.
