Effective factors in promoting the media literacy of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Directors

Abstract :
The present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the effective factors in improving the media literacy of radio and television managers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This research is qualitative in terms of its practical purpose and in terms of the method and method of collecting research data, and is of the type of foundation data. Experts, experts and managers of the Broadcasting Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been considered as the research community, and with the purposeful snowball method by conducting 20 interviews, the researcher has determined that the collected information has reached the saturation point. The tool of data collection was the review of national and international documents related to the topic, as well as a semi-structured exploratory interview. Finally, after collecting the information from the interviews and reviewing the sources, at this stage, the foundation data method and coding (open, central and selective) were used to classify the data. The internal validity (reliability) of the findings, in addition to the fact that the data were selected and verified by studying theoretical foundations, research background, sources, interviews with focal persons, the opinions and guidelines of a group of experts were also taken into account and before coding, And the final adjustment was made. In order to verify the accuracy and validity of the data, regarding the validity of the study, the research method was used by the research members. The findings of the research indicated that the effective factors in improving the media literacy of national media managers are dimensions such as general media literacy, specialized media literacy, media understanding and knowledge, media management and media production.
