Abstract :
The main aim of this research was study about requirements and circumstances of decentralization in Ahvaz education in the field of viewpoint, leadership and human resource. Explanatory mixed method research was used for this aim. Based on nature and research method, descriptive method in quantitative part and content analyze in qualitative part was used. Sample size in quantitative part was 115 principals selected from 4 educational district of Ahvaz and selected by stratified sampling. Purposeful sampling and snowball one used for qualitative part. Instruments for data gathering was questionnaire and interview. Results showed that Ahvaz education isn’t ready for decentralization policies carryout. Interview analyze showed that main reasons for this situation are viewpoints of decentralization is unclear, personnel are not justified for importance and necessity of decentralization, inappropriate system for selection and appointment of principals and low quality programs for principals empowerment.
