Abstract :
Today, urbanization and urban development is one of the special phenomena in the world. The city is a living and dynamic creature in the cycle of time and on the bed of place; It consists of physical and human components and complex relationships between them. One of the new concepts to address the current challenges of cities in the field of urban planning is the development of smart cities, which has attracted much attention in recent years. The smart city has emerged as the axis of millennium development and means the opening of new concepts in urban planning that combine the capabilities of the real and virtual world to solve urban problems. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of smart city on urban vandalism with the mediating role of happy city and social justice. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and is a descriptive survey according to the data collection method. The statistical population of the study consisted of citizens of Shiraz. The statistical sample of the study was determined based on Morgan table 385 people and participants were selected using random cluster sampling method. The research tool was a standard questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by content validity and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software version 21 for inferential statistics and LISREL version 8.8 for path fitting. The results showed that the smart city does not have a significant direct effect on urban vandalism, but through a happy city and social justice has an indirect and significant effect on urban vandalism. The smart city also has a direct and significant effect on the happy city and social justice.
