Designing an educational package of Islamic coping style in the face of Corona disease

Abstract :
Dealing with stress and different styles of dealing with psychological pressures have taken a large part of psychological research. But Islamic coping styles have a special effect. This research examines the development of an educational program based on Islamic coping mechanisms during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2022-2023. Using an exploratory survey technique along with field library data gathering, individuals with over five years of relevant experience were interviewed. Introduction: Given the unprecedented global trials posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this study emphasizes the importance of understanding and employing Islamic coping strategies. The goal is to create a specialized educational program. Method: The research began with an exhaustive exploration of theoretical underpinnings and related literature, utilizing a library review technique. Data was collected via interviews that followed researcher-formulated questions, and was then thematically analyzed. Results: A qualitative examination revealed critical elements such as comprehending the philosophy of existence, depending on divine forgiveness, trusting in God during hard times, achieving inner peace through contentment, gratitude, avoiding sinful behavior, and recognizing the value of prayer, fasting, and giving to the less fortunate for God's pleasure. Conclusion: These findings present valuable knowledge for healthcare practitioners dealing with the complications of the COVID-19 pandemic, establishing a foundation for personalized programs to bolster resilience and mental health.
