Investigating the effects of organizational envy on deviant behaviors in the workplace with the moderating effect of leader-member exchange

Abstract :
Envy is a frequent emotion in work contexts where there is intense competition for resources and the leader is the person who manages them. When employees feel jealous, they are likely to use deviant behaviors in the workplace, so the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of organizational envy on deviant behaviors in the workplace with the moderating effect of leader exchange. - is a member. The research method is based on the practical purpose and in terms of the method of collecting descriptive data, it is correlational. The statistical population of the present study was all the employees of Isfahan Islamic Azad University (Khorasgan) in the number of 660 people who were selected through the Cochran sampling formula with a sample size of 242 people through the stratified sampling method proportional to the volume and data analysis in two levels Descriptive and inferential was done. The results of the research showed that organizational envy has an impact factor of 0.72 on deviant behaviors in the work environment, and considering the significance value is less than 0.05, this impact is significant. On the other hand, the value of the moderating effect of leader-member exchange is 0.04, and according to the significance value of 0.19, which is more than 0.05, this moderating effect is significant. With the increase of organizational envy, the amount of deviant behavior in the work environment increases and the leader-member exchange moderates it.
