The Effect of Knowledge Management on the Organizational Health of Physical Education Teachers in Guilan Province

Abstract :
Today, knowledge is considered one of the key factors for the success of developed countries, and all management scientists believe that knowledge is one of the main resources and the main assets of an organization. One of the most complex social phenomena in the present era are organizations, which are a specific social unit whose structure is created by commitment and is repeatedly rebuilt in order to achieve a specific goal or goals. The definition of knowledge states that knowledge is having the capacity and potential for any action. The growth of knowledge in recent years has been very rapid, such that in the twentieth century, 80 percent of technological and knowledge findings and 90 percent of all knowledge and technical information were produced in the world, and the volume of knowledge doubles every five and a half years. Simultaneously with the growth of the idea of knowledge as a strategic resource in the 21st century, knowledge as an important competitive advantage in leading organizations received serious attention and started a new chapter in management called "Knowledge Management". The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of knowledge management on the organizational health of physical education teachers in Guilan province. Knowledge management plays an important role in the education and development of all members of the organization, which will lead to the health of the organization. Knowledge management leads to the establishment of desirable training programs, employee development programs, and the creation of organizational health. For example: Knowledge identification is the first vital step in knowledge management, which leads to the identification of superior advantages and basic competencies of a health organization. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of knowledge management on the organizational health of physical education teachers in Guilan Province. The research method employed in this study is a descriptive survey. The statistical population consists of physical education teachers working in art schools located in Guilan Province. The sample size consisted of 92 participants selected through cluster sampling, as determined by the Morgan table. The data collection instrument was a researcher-developed questionnaire, which had its face and content validity confirmed by 10 experts in the field. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was found to be 0.80, as measured by Cronbach's alpha. The research data were analyzed using the mean statistical method and the Pearson correlation coefficient, employing SPSS version 21 software. The results of the research indicate that all components of knowledge management—namely, knowledge identification (p=0.001, t=1.772), knowledge creation (p=0.001, t=2.365), knowledge recording (p=0.001, t=1.870), knowledge sharing (p=0.001, t=1.978), knowledge implementation (p=0.001, t=2.177), learning (p=0.001, t=2.419), empowerment (p=0.001, t=2.225), innovation (p=0.001, t=1.810), and productivity (p=0.001, t=2.622)—have a significant impact on the organizational health of physical education teachers in Guilan Province. Furthermore, there is a positive and significant relationship among all these components. Overall, the results of this study showed that organizational health, by utilizing all components of knowledge management, shapes the ability of organizations to maintain survival and adapt to the environment and improve the abilities and health of employees, and this concept does not only include the capacity of an organization to perform tasks effectively; but also includes the capacity of an organization to grow and develop sustainably. Knowledge-based and health-oriented organizations are introduced with indicators such as organizational commitment, employee empowerment, employee motivation, and their job satisfaction, which results in increased efficiency, effectiveness, and improved organizational productivity, increased learning, and innovations. This study faced limitations, the most important of which is the lack of similar comprehensive studies in this field. It seems that the results of this study can help improve the organizational health of physical education teachers in Guilan province by utilizing knowledge management.
