Presenting the spatial policy framework for improving the level of sustainability of the urban environment (case study: Chabahar city)

Abstract :

Chabahar city, in recent decades, with many problems and issues such as environmental pollution, reduction of ecological power, environmental issues, increasing burden on the environment, increasing the formation of informal settlements (more than 50 thousand people ), and... has been faced that has affected the environmental sustainability of the city. In this regard, this research was conducted with the aim of providing a spatial policy framework to improve the level of sustainability of the urban environment (study example: Chabahar). First, library studies were conducted in order to know the theoretical literature related to environmental sustainability, and according to the collected information, the dimensions were identified and a framework was presented according to the situation of Chabahar city. The environment in Chabahar city includes dimensions: green infrastructure planning; protection of biological diversity; urban design sensitive to water; urban agriculture and green roof; Resilience against natural disasters and access to nature. This framework is presented as a comprehensive approach to improve the level of sustainability in the urban environment. The implementation of such policies is beneficial for Chabahar city and can also serve as a model for other rapidly urbanizing areas and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient urban future. It should be noted that in order to apply the spatial policy framework in Chabahar, cooperation between government agencies, urban planners, environmentalists and the local community is necessary.
