Investigating the effect of curriculum design and validation in elementary school management in Iran

Abstract :
AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the effect of curriculum design and validation on elementary school management in Iran. In terms purpose, it is applied with a combined approach and in terms of nature, it is descriptive-exploratory. In the present study, a qualitative content analysis technique was used to design the curriculum model. The statistical population in the qualitative section consists of expert experts in the field of expert curriculum with a statistical sample also consists of 12 people. The statistical population in the quantitative section also included primary education experts with a sample number of 20 people and all primary school teachers in Zahedan with a number of 1843 and a sample number of 318 people. In the qualitative part, using purposive sampling method based on snowball technique, the selection was done and the research continued until the stage of data saturation and repetition. Also, with the help of Morgan table, quantitative sample size was determined, which was selected using multi-stage cluster sampling; Thus, from the clustering of the study population, 4 primary schools (2 girls 'schools and 2 boys' schools) were selected. In a quantitative step, data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire for two groups. A questionnaire with 49 questions was used to collect data in the quantitative part and interviews were used in the qualitative part. Finally, 13 components were identified as the main components of curriculum evaluation: The first component included the steps of the curriculum. The other three components curriculum evaluation, including the three levels of intended, measured, and acquired curriculum, were discussed. Then, 3 components including curriculum evaluation criteria in each of the 3 levels and 3 components including the necessary information resources for curriculum evaluation in each of the 3 levels were introduced.
