Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to provide a model of life skills in the curriculum planning of the first year of secondary school. The present study is a mixed method and a type of exploratory mixed research design, which is carried out in two consecutive qualitative-quantitative stages. The present research in the first phase conducted a qualitative study, and in this phase, it was done through reviewing and evaluating the studies conducted in the field of the subject raised in the current research, as well as in-depth interviews with experts in the field of curriculum planning who have specialized doctorate education with the scientific degree of assistant professor, associate professor and professor who had authored articles, and accomplished research and practical experience in this field. After the data were collected, they were coded, categorized and presented as a conceptual model using the grounded theory analysis method. The second phase of the study was quantitative and used structural equation modeling. The data collected from the researcher-made questionnaire based on the proposed model (resulting from the qualitative phase of the study) were evaluated using Smart PLS software.
