The impact of Metaverse as a new tool in educational technology in the field of education from the point of view of education staff managers

Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of Metaverse as a new tool in educational technology in the field of education from the point of view of education staff managers. The research method was a descriptive survey. The statistical population of the research was all the managers of the education and training staffs of Tehran (140 people), and 103 people were selected as a statistical sample using stratified random sampling. The data collection tool in this research was a researcher-made questionnaire, whose validity and reliability were calculated and verified using item analysis and Cronbach's alpha methods, respectively. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Chi-square and Friedman test) were used to analyze the data. The results of the research showed that the components of presence, speed, stability, connection with the real world, cost, intelligence, removing the limitations of the current internet, continuity and interactivity, continuity of identity, entertainment, shopping, the world of movies and series, artificial intelligence, changing the educational system, The empowerment of future education and educational opportunities, including the influential components of Metaverse, can be considered as a new tool in educational technology in the field of education. Also, the ranking of the studied factors was significant in terms of degree of importance, and among the studied components, speed was the most important and continuity of identity was the least important.
