Abstract :
Abstract The world customs organization was established with customs committee taken from trade and tariff general agreement in 1947, changed to customs council in 1952 and finally to the world customs organization in 1994 as a global and international institute. This organization has 162 members at the time being and it is the only authorized reference for the customs affairs in the world. Iran was accepted as the official member of this organization and despite of existing challenges in the political and economic parts originated from its infrastructure, in the way of achieving of interests and advantages of this organization could not achieve to its best goals and purposes. Due to elimination of physical borders, the international organizations affects in achieving the national interest and also the role of global trade in national economics and countries development is much highlighted. Due to Iran regional and geographical advantages, Iran active presence necessity in the regional and international trade cooperation organization and access to the world up-dated science and technology for the country preservation has come to the surface and role of customs gets more essential and sensitive, so rebuilding and mechanizing of the customs and creating the electronic trade and single window method of customs formalities could prevent the time killing and creating a secure space for creating trade competitive markets and attracting the regional foreign investments. In this paper, it is tried some of Iran facing challenges in this organization in the political and economical parts and existing legal obstacles would be mentioned.
