Abstract :
AbstractPolitical participation is considered one of the main indicators of political-social development of societies. As the largest population group in developing countries, the political participation of the youth is of special importance for the political stability and dynamism of the society. Based on this, the present research was conducted with the survey research method and simple random sampling in order to investigate the level of political participation of the youth of Lali city and its related factors. The results of the research showed that the political participation of women is more than that of men, and there is a significant relationship between the type of job and the level of education with the political participation of young people. Also, based on the findings of this research, there is a significant relationship between social capital (social network, out-group trust, in-group trust, social participation) and cultural capital with the dependent variable of the research, i.e. youth political participation at the level of 99%. The results and analysis of multiple regression show the significant role of four variables of social capital, cultural capital, out-group trust and in-group trust, which in total can predict or analyze 59.9 percent of the variance of the dependent variable, i.e. youth political participation. In addition, paying attention to the beta value of social capital (equal to 0.725 and a significance level of 0.000) shows that the social capital variable has the greatest effect on the dependent variable (youth political participation) in this research.
