1 - A Gender-Based Investigation into the Relationship between Test Method and Iranian EFL Test-Takers’ Grammar Performance

This research delved into how test method and gender might affect grammar performance. To this end, 274 intermediate EFL learners in the 18-30 age range, studying in Qotb Ravandi Institute in Tehran took a grammar test in four different formats specified to comparatives, superlatives, and present perfect tenses. The results of the correlation analysis revealed that there was a positive correlation between total score (grammar performance) and error correction, word changing, word order, and completion scores. The results of regression analysis also indicated that gender was a significant predictor of grammar performance. There was a negative statistically significant correlation between gender and grammar performance, indicating that male students tended to score lower than their female counterparts. Furthermore, the predictor variable of grammar performance could accurately classify 63.6% of females and 31.3% of males in their groups, with the overall precision of the regression model being 50%. Therefore, it can be argued that there would be a statistically significant relationship between test-takers' gender and their grammar performance. 2 - Task-Based Listening Assessment and the Influence of Construct-Irrelevant Variance

The present research attempted to investigate whether the two major characteristics of question type and consecutive/simultaneous performance have any impact on the listening performance of Iranian EFL learners. Findings indicated that participants had a significantly better performance when they tackled the tasks consecutively, and performed even better in listening MC items rather than in listening task-based items. The researchers, thus, concluded that task-based listening tests such as IELTS listening module may be under the influence of construct-irrelevant variance. تفاصيل المقالة -

3 - بررسی بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی موجود در بافتهای خوراکی طیور کشتاری شهرستان مراغه به روش چهار پلیت (مقاله کوتاه)
معصومه عباسی سامان مهدویوجود بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی در مواد غذایی و انتقال آن به بدن مصرفکنندگان باعث ایجاد عوارضی نظیر مقاومتهای باکتریایی، واکنشهای آلرژیک، مسمومیت، سرطانزایی و بههم خوردن فلور طبیعی روده میشود. روش چهار پلیت یکی از روشهای میکروبیولوژیکی، جهت تأیید حضور بقایای آنتیبیوتیک أکثروجود بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی در مواد غذایی و انتقال آن به بدن مصرفکنندگان باعث ایجاد عوارضی نظیر مقاومتهای باکتریایی، واکنشهای آلرژیک، مسمومیت، سرطانزایی و بههم خوردن فلور طبیعی روده میشود. روش چهار پلیت یکی از روشهای میکروبیولوژیکی، جهت تأیید حضور بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی در مواد غذایی میباشد که در چهار محیط کشت با pH و باکتریهای متفاوت انجام میگیرد. هدف از انجام این تحقیق تعیین بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی موجود در بافتهای خوراکیطیور کشتاریشهرستان مراغه به روش چهار پلیت بود. در این تحقیق از 40 لاشه طیور گوشتی کشتاری در کشتارگاه شهرستان مراغه (از 10 مرغداری مختلف) نمونههایی از عضله سینه، عضله ران، سنگدان و کبد بهصورت تصادفی اخذ شد. طبق یافتههای مطالعه 60% نمونههای کبدی، 55% نمونههای ران، 5/52% نمونههای سینه، 5/52% نمونههای سنگدان دارای بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی بودند. در بین بافتهای مورد آزمایش از نظر میزان آلودگی به بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی اختلاف معنیداری مشاهده نشد (05/0 <P). بیشترین بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی در دو گله با 100% آلودگی و کمترین آن نیز در دو گله بدون بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی ثبت شد. با توجه به مخاطره بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی برای سلامتی، پایش مستمر حضور بقایای آنتیبیوتیکی در بافتهای خوراکی طیور گوشتی توصیه میشود. تفاصيل المقالة -

For surveying surface morphology and cross section of the coating as well as the substrate, optical microscope and SEM were used. Also for phase evaluation of the coating, X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used. The results show that the imposed regime is very impressive on the thickness of coating and wear resistance. In low regime, less porosity, better finishing surface and lower coating thickness was achieved. In this regime, better wear resistance was obtained. تفاصيل المقالة
