        An efficient and sustainable method was developed for electrocatalytic multicomponent synthesis of spirooxindole-chromene derivatives via a green one-pot, three component condensations of cyclic-1,3-diones, malononitrile and isatins inside an undivided cell where potassium bromide was applied as electrolyte in ethanol/DMSO (95/5 v/v) media, and a practical Fe-Mn-O composite was used as cathode electrode. The presented electrosynthesis approach proved to be reliable and cost-effective for the synthesis of target compounds in 83-91% yields. In this method, we highlight the utility of electrosynthesis method for the preparation of diverse spirooxindole-chromen derivatives that can be a breakthrough for production of vital drugs. تفاصيل المقالة

        A novel magnetically immobilized polyethyleneimine (PEI) fabricated by covalently anchoring on MCM-41 (MCM-41@PEI) was prepared. The synthesized catalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The immobilized PEI was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of spiro-oxindole and benzopyranes derivatives via multi-component reaction (MCR), in ethylene glycol as a green solvent.         A beneficial and efficient one-pot three-component approach for the synthesis of spiro cyclic 2-oxindole derivatives has been described by the reaction of isatins, cyclic-1,3-diketones and 6-amino-1,3-dimethyluracil in presence of highly active HPA-ZSM-5 microporous catalyst. The zeolite catalyst has been synthesized and the catalyst has been thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electronic microscopy (FE-SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and N2-adsorption analysis. HPA-ZSM-5 catalyst exhibited exceptional recyclability at least for 6 times and the surface acidity was not significantly changed. The best results were gained in H2O and we found the convincing results for the synthesis of spiro-pyrido-pyrimidine in the presence of HPA-ZSM-5 (10 mg) under ultrasound irradiation (40W). Experimental simplicity, wide range of products, excellent yields in short reaction times and low catalyst loading are some of the substantial features of this procedure. The present catalytic method is extensible to a wide diversity of substrates for the synthesis of a variety-oriented library of spiro-pyrido-pyrimidine indoline derivatives. تفاصيل المقالة

        Fe (III) supported graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite was synthesized by impregnation of FeCl3 with g- C3N4 (Fe (III)@g-C3N4). Then, the synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives was carried out in the presence of Fe (III) @ graphitic carbon nitride nanocompositevia the multi-component reaction of malononitrile, isatins, and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in green media (ethanol/water (1:1)) under reflux conditions and the corresponding products were prepared in good to excellent yields (70-98 %). Also, the heterogeneous nanocatalyst was characterized by different techniques including the transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The synthesized nanocatalyst has been used for the three-component one-step synthesis of functionalized spirolactones via the condensation reaction of arylamines, DMAD and isatins.         In the present study, the synthesis of diethylene triamine supported on cellulose biopolymer as a biodegradable solid basic heterogeneous catalyst was suggested. Then, the applicability of the synthesized catalyst cellulose bonded N-propyl diethylene triamine (CBPDETA) was tested for the synthesis of oxindole derivatives, an important class of potentially bioactive compounds. A various series of tetrahydrospiro-[chromene-indoline]-carbonitrile and dihydro-spiro[pyrano quinoline--indoline]-carbonitrile are obtained in water, an excellent solvent in terms of environmental impact, in high yield (78- 98%) from one-pot reaction procedure involving dicarbonyl/ 4-hydroxycoumarine , malononitrile and isatin compounds.         Various magnetite heterogeneous catalysts for the organic reaction are increasingly recognized while their stability still is a critical challenge. In this regard, SiO2, ionic liquid (IL), and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) were applied as a three-layer stabilization system for modifying magnetic Fe3O4 to produce Fe3O4@SiO2@IL‐PVP as a novel nanocatalyst. The Fe3O4@SiO2@IL‐PVP as stabilized heterogeneous catalysts were utilized in a robust, and environmentally friendly strategy for the preparation of the spirooxindole derivatives by the one-pot condensation of isatin, malononitrile, and 1,3-dicarbonyl in a water solvent. The proposed method revealed a high yield spirooxindole derivatives preparation (99%) at short reaction times (1.0 min), low catalyst mass (0.002 g), and satisfactory temperature (30 °C) which confirm the lack of any tedious challenge and promising applicability and reusability. This work introduces a rational core-shell nanosystem design with a facile and novel construction strategy to arrive at nonexquisite metal-based composite catalysts with superior catalytic proficiency and prominent long-term stability. تفاصيل المقالة

The selective acylation of indoles often requires sensitive and reactive acyl chloride derivatives. A chemoselective N-acylation of indoles1 using thioesters 2 as a stable acyl source has been reported. Interaction of 1-acylindoles 10 with acetyl chloride in the presence of AlCl3 yields the corresponding 1- acyl-3-acetylindoles 11 which upon hydrolysis affords 3-acetylindole12.Addition of (1Hindol- 3-yl) magnesium iodide (16) to 2-(benzyloxy) acetyl chloride 17 in diethyl ether forms 3-benzyloxyacetylindole 18.
