Marriage Patterns and its Relationship with Martial Satisfaction (A Study on Married Students at Islamic Azad University , Sanandaj Branch)

Abstract :
The aim of this article is to investigate the marriage patterns of married students at Sanandaj Islamic Azad University and the relationship between the patterns and martial satisfaction. The theoretical framework of study is a combination of Modernization, Homogamy. Levinï§ s field and Exchange theories and it was introduced the theoretical model long with research hypotheses. This study connected in 2012 with a descriptive-analytical approach by a survey method. The research data collected from 272 married students (that selected used to proportional stratification and one-stage cluster sampling methods) by compound questionnaire. The results indicated that the majority of research hypotheses were confirmed although some results were not anticipated in direction. According to results, the level and scope of martial satisfaction of respondents have been differ and significant in terms of marriage patterns, homo-gamy factors, and demographic characteristics. The results of multivariate regression indicated that there were a combination of factors such as marriage patterns, demographic and modernization characteristics that affected on martial satisfaction and these factors explains around 65 percent of martial satisfaction changes. Briefly, the results of this study have been harmonious to modernization approaches, homo-gamy theory and Levinï§s field theory.
