Abstract :
Advanced technologies in satellite TV broadcasts have led anomalies and opposite behavior of young people against social values. Western countries have targeted different aspects of youth identity through theseprograms, including, religious, social, cultural andpolitical security. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of satellite channels on the value system of students. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of satellite channels on the value system of students. This study was conducted using stratified random sampling that statistical population was selected among 1642 students studying at Islamic Azad University in Neka in the Department of Humanities (968 people) and engineering (674 people) in the 93-92 academic year. For collecting data standard questionnaire of the Allport value system ,Vernon and Lindsey are used. Also, causal-comparative research methods were applied. As well as to analyze the data, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential (t test) were used. All data analysis was performed using SPSS statistical software. The results showed that there is a significant difference between students who are viewing satellite programs with other students in theoretical and social, religious and political values.
