Evaluation of Development by Using Numerical Taxonomy in West Azerbaijan Province Border Cities

Abstract :
Development as a main concern of the governors, politicians, socio-economic planners has attracted so many attentions and regional differences in the process of national development are a main field of policy-making and planning. It is true that when the polarization of development is continued and caused to make a gap between their per capita income and other areas. Regional differences between the cities in West Azerbaijan Province have caused to evaluate development and underdevelopment of this area by using formal statistics and statistical model of numerical taxonomy. The results represent that closeness to international borders has no effect on the development, but linguistic and ethnic differences are a determinant factor in the level of development in these cities.
