The aim of this study was to construct, validate, authenticate and standardize the stigma scale in divorced women. Psychometrics method was used to perform the study. To do this, 275 people were selected by purposive sampling method after making a questionnaire to validate the stigma scale, among all divorced women aged 20 to 35 years in Shahrekord. Participants completed the researcher-made scales of Divorce Stigma, Rosenberg Self-Esteem (1965), Schwatzer (1995) General Self-Efficacy, and Gilbert (2004) Self-Criticism. To evaluate the validity of the scale in this study, exploratory factor analysis and convergent validity were used. Findings of Factor analysis showed that there are four factors in divorce stigma scale (perceived stigma, personal worthlessness, biased behavior and social departure); Which explains 81.23% of the variance of the instrument together. Moreover, its proper divergent and convergent validity were indicated by the correlations obtained between this scale and self-esteem scales (r = -0/19; p<0.05), general self-efficacy beliefs (r= -0/23; p<0.01), and self-critical scale (r= 0/55; p<0.01), Strong reliability of this scale was showed by Alpha 0.93 as a whole. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the stigma scale has sufficient validity and reliability.
