    Aims

    Journal of Archeology and Archaeometry (JAA) is open access, a peer-reviewed, online, interdisciplinary, quarterly journal devoted to Archaeology and Archeometry. JAA publishes high-quality original research papers, review papers, technical reports, and case studies. The journal aims at establishing a bridge between theory and practice in the related fields and It reports on the latest research findings and innovative approaches. The JAA affirms the critical importance of archaeological context and the responsibility to provide documentation of provenance in archaeological publications. Submissions should follow the JAA’s policy regarding the citation of excavated objects and objects in public and private collections. The JAA Editors-in-Chief welcome the submission of manuscripts on any subject within that definition. Submissions that announce discoveries, present new information, or break new theoretical ground are especially welcome, as are articles that deal with methodological issues, offer theoretical frameworks for the interpretation of archaeological data, or explore the symbiosis between field methodology and the analysis of material culture. The Journal also warmly welcomes qualified scholars and Archaeologists from all over the world to be recruited as the Editorial Board.

    The goals of the publication are:

    - Developing the boundaries of knowledge and exchange of ideas between academic and research centers and expanding the results of scientific research in the field of archaeology and archaeometry.

    - Helping to improve the scientific level of research and institutionalizing research in the archaeology, history, architecture and art field

    - Helping to meet the scientific and research needs of the country by establishing communication between researchers and scientific research centers.

    Scope

    Journal of Archeology and Archaeometry (JAA) covers studies on the culture and civilization of pre-Islamic Persia until the Islamic period in its broadest sense and, publishes studies, including archaeology, ancient history, linguistics, religion, epigraphy, numismatics, and the history of the art of ancient Iran, as well as on cultural exchanges and relations between Iran and its neighbors.
