What we are witnessing in today's societies is the decrease in the level of people's communication with each other, so knowing the factors related to urban communication and strengthening the positive factors in this regard can play an important role in expanding urban communication and social interactions among citizens. This research deals with providing a policy framework for measuring and promoting pedestrianization in urban spaces with an emphasis on social interactions. First, the key concepts of walking and social interactions are examined and key components such as functional, perceptual and physical are identified. Then, using comparative analysis and collaborative methods, criteria and practical solutions for designing urban spaces are proposed. In this research, two documentary methods, analytical and field methods have been used. Hierarchical multivariate regression analysis method (HMR) and considering the scale of data (ordinal and nominal), Kendall's tb tests, univariate t tests and path analysis were used, which will be briefly referred to as (HMR) method. In this analysis, first, the quality of the environment of the study area was measured, and then 3 physical, functional and perceptual criteria were examined with the quality of the environment, and the degree of correlation and relationship between the variables was determined. Hierarchical multivariate regression (HMR) method was used to analyze the data. Finally, after conducting appropriate statistical analyzes (multivariate regression, path analysis, Pearson test, Taub Kendall, etc.), the quality level of the environment in Gohardasht Street is approximately at the average level of evaluation and the existence of a significant relationship between the criteria and sub-criteria located in Different levels of the model (with 95% confidence) were confirmed with the dependent variable of environmental quality.
