The aim of the current research was to design a model of factors affecting the development of artificial intelligence in sports media. Therefore, in terms of the purpose of the research, practical; In terms of the nature of the exploratory-descriptive research and in terms of the method of data collection, it was mixed. The statistical population of the research included people active in the field of sports press, artificial intelligence, sports management professors, sports journalists and media people, and a total of 16 interviews were conducted, and in a small part, in addition to the mentioned experts, postgraduate students of sports management fields were included and was familiar with artificial intelligence that 215 questionnaires were distributed and collected electronically. Thematic analysis approach was used to analyze the qualitative part and structural equation modeling using Smart PLS version 3 software was used to provide a quantitative research model. The findings showed that 54 open codes in the form of 9 sub-themes in the 3 main themes of context, application and development play a role in the development of artificial intelligence in sports media. Also, the results of structural equation modeling showed that all paths are positive and significant and have a favorable fit. In a general conclusion, it should be mentioned that the development of artificial intelligence in sports media initially has a strong dependence on contextual factors, since its path was the most; It shows that the necessary infrastructure in terms of technology and facilities should be provided, because the development of artificial intelligence in the first step is strongly dependent on facilities. Of course, practical factors were also significant, which shows that it is not possible to be satisfied only with the creation of background conditions.
