The present study was purposed to compare the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness therapy on the spiritual well-being of divorced women referring to Tabriz Welfare Center from a cultural perspective. The statistical population encompassed all divorced women referring to Tabriz Welfare Center in the second half of 1402. The research sample encased 60 individuals who were selected via purposive sampling procedure and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and a control group (20 subjects in each group). The research method was a quasi-experimental one with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The Spiritual Well-being Questionnaire of Palotzin and Ellison (1982) was implemented to collect data. The subjects of experimental group (1) received the intervention procedures of the the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Protocol of Hayes et al. (2012) and the experimental group (2) the Kabat-Zinn Mindfulness Therapy Protocol (2010) in 15 sessions, 90 minutes each. The data were analyzed through Multivariate Analysis of Covariance. The results indicated that acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness had an effect on improving spiritual well-being (p<0.05). And the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy was greater than mindfulness therapy. The present study revealed that acceptance and commitment therapy was more effective in increasing spiritual well-being and improving the condition of divorced women and could be applied as an effective and culturally appropriate intervention.
