The present study aimed to predict marital satisfaction based on attitudes toward infidelity and the tendency toward premarital relationships. The research method was descriptive-correlational and conducted through regression analysis. The statistical population included all married students at Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch and Yadgar Imam, Shahr-e Rey during the academic year 1403-1404 (2024-2025). A sample of 150 individuals was selected using the convenience sampling method. To collect data, the Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998), Wattley’s Attitude toward Infidelity Questionnaire (2008), and Kardelo’s Tendency toward Premarital Relationships Questionnaire (1380) were employed. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The results showed that the tendency toward premarital relationships had significant relationships with four subscales: personality issues (β=0/315), conflict resolution (β=0/176), sexual relations (β=0/160), and religious orientation (β=0/211, p<0/01). Attitude toward infidelity also showed significant relationships with two subscales: personality issues (β=0/249) and financial management (β=0/206, p<0/05). However, neither of these two predictor variables was able to predict overall marital satisfaction. The findings suggest that although some specific aspects of marital satisfaction are influenced by premarital attitudes and tendencies, overall marital satisfaction is likely affected more by other factors such as intimacy, trust, communication quality, and identity styles. It is recommended that future research investigate the role of mediating and moderating variables.
