Introduction: Considering the effect of past marriage on remarriage, the researcher tried to design an effective intervention model by using narrative therapy and mindfulness approaches to create a positive effect on couples' intimacy. Therefore, the current research seeks to answer the question, how is the design of a narrative therapy model based on mindfulness and its effectiveness on marital intimacy in remarried women?
Methods: The current research is semi-experimental in terms of its practical purpose and method, and to do it, a pre-test-post-test and follow-up design and a control group were used. The statistical population included all women who experienced remarriage in Shiraz city in 1400. The purposeful sampling method was available and finally 24 remarried women were selected. In order to measure the degree of couple intimacy, the Couple Intimacy Questionnaire (Oliya, 1385) was used.
Findings: The data analysis method was multivariate covariance. The results of the research showed that the average scores of the subjects in the post-test stage had a significant growth and the average of their marital intimacy increased to 63.86. Which shows the effectiveness of experimental intervention in increasing marital intimacy in women with remarriage experience. Compared to the control group, the condition of the experimental group has increased favorably after the experimental intervention.
Discussion and Conclusion: The results of the research showed that narrative therapy based on mindfulness has been effective in increasing the marital intimacy of women with the experience of remarriage in Shiraz city.
