        1 - A Survey on Scope and Familiarity with Web 2.0 by Academic Librarians of Tabriz City

        Purpose: The present investigation focuses on the scope and familiarity with Web 2.0 displayed by academic librarians in the city of Tabriz. It aims to find a scale by which to ascertain the tendency and preparedness of librarians to adopt the said technology. Methodology: A survey was implemented using a questionnaire devised by the researchers. Thirty five librarians were surveyed  Findings: familiarity and use of Web 2.0 tools by librarians was (2.5) and (2.7). Findings: The average of Familiarity with each of the Web 2.0 tools was; Blogs (3.25), social networking (3), RSS (2.65), wiki (2.5), instant messaging (2.22), social bookmarks (2/2), podcasts (2), online image sharing (1.94). In addition, rate of acceptance for welcoming web 2.0 technologies in future was (3.7). Conclusion: Some academic librarians were well versed in Web 2.0 tools such as weblogs, wikis, RSS and various social networks. However, in general, there had been limited knowledge concerning podcasts, photograms and social bookmarking. While librarians displayed high aptitude in employing weblogs, photograms and other forms of online in which image sharing were in the least. They displayed, however, a high rate of acceptance for welcoming web 2.0 technologies in future. Primary impediment in using Web 2.0 stemmed from inadequate training.   Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The aim of this study is to assess the views of Iranian students about observing rights in cyberspace, especially the world of Web publishing. Methodology:The present research was a survey study. Research tools was questionnaire with nominal validity and reliability of the study tool was done by Cronbach's alpha about 0.7. The study population was 280 samples of students of College of Psychology and Education of Tehran University that were selected by random (accessibility) method. Findings: Analyze of questionnaires showed that the sample mean about first question was 2.78 that showed poor understanding of copyright in cyberspace. While average of using web is about 3.77, and the average rate of compliance of copyrights is 2 that showed Non-compliance with copyright. Conclusion: Lack of copyright in cyberspace could be related to low information of students about copyright in cyberspace, and lack of statutory and administrative law Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The aim of this study was checking how well the faculty of Azad Islamic University of Chaloos understand the digital library‘s user interface based on Nilson Model. Methodology: The research method of this research was analytic - measurement. Statistical population included 310 of faculty members of Azad Islamic University of Chaloos. The method of sampling is random systematic. The mass of sample based on Cokeran formula had defined 172 persons. The research instrument was a questionnaire, the Cronbachalpha coefficient value was 0.7560. Descriptive and non-parametric Mann-Whitney, UtestandWilcoxon and T Student were used for analytical measurements. Spss Software was used for data analysis. Findings: Results showed that 10 out of the UI component model of software Nielsen in terms of faculty were above average. There was a meaningful correlation between Satisfaction of faculty members about interface and its familiarity with the user interface, there was a significant correlation between the components except (help users to identify, correct errors) between faculty satisfaction rate of user interfaces. In other components, there was no significant relationship.The hypothesis test showed no significant differences between the views of different groups of educational faculty members about user interface of the software. Conclusion: Based on the viewpoint of faculty members of Islamic Azad University of Chaloos Branch Library software user interface represents the average level of satisfaction. Faculty satisfaction depended on their familiarity with the user interface, but there was no significant difference between different educational groups.     Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The purpose of this feasibility study was to investigate the creating of a virtual reference Network in the Special Libraries of Art in Tehran, tried to review the Special libraries of art in the case of facilities and modern technologies of the Internet aspects for reference services. Methodology: It was an analytical survey. The Statistical population was 24 special libraries of art, without any Samplings. The Researcher made questionnaire with the reliability of Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.829) was used to gather information. The Inferential statistics was used. Spss16 software was used to analyze data. Findings: Research findings showed that the most of libraries don’t have Necessary Hardware and Software equipments and facilities for creating the virtual reference Network. Employee Status from the course of number, skills and course of study was more than average. 83 percent of libraries use integrated reference services (electronic and traditional). Status of Acquisition and funds of resources was Moderate. Organizational structure, with 39 percent of these libraries has compatible to implement the virtual reference network.  Conclusion: More than 50 percent of libraries didn’t have acceptable facilities and conditions for creating the virtual reference network.         Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the attitudes and satisfaction of students and librarians in Isfahan University of medical Sciences toward the traits of Pars Azarakhsh library software interface and comparing the students’ and librarians’ attitudes. Methodology: The research method was descriptive survey which conducted in 2009. For gathering data in this study a questionnaire was used, consisting of 51 closed questions which was confirmed its validity and reliability (α= 0.81). The population was included of students and librarians in Isfahan University of medical Sciences. Librarians were those who were working in libraries of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (50 persons); and students were selected via quota sampling. Thereupon from all of Isfahan University of medical Sciences students (5144 persons), 210 persons were selected. Descriptive statistics methods (frequency distribution, mean and standard deviation) were used for data analysis. Findings: The results of this research showed that among variables of student's satisfaction from Pars Azarakhsh user interface environment, total status, pageant, letters and messages of software, learning how to use software was medium; and their satisfaction from help, and other capabilities was less than medium. In all students' satisfaction from Pars Azarakhsh software user interface environment was medium (3.03 of 5). Also in view of librarians, some variables like pageant, letters and messages of software, learning how to use software was medium and upper than medium, which showed that librarians have satisfaction from these variables. Also librarian's satisfaction from help and other capabilities was less than medium. All librarian' satisfaction from Pars Azarakhsh software user interface environment was medium (3.20 of 5). Conclusion: Between all studied variables of software interface, some variables like pageant, letters and messages of software, learning how to use software were in good situation but variables like help and other capabilities needed to be revised and improved.         Purpose: Considering the importance of the treatment of children’s psychological problems at earlier ages and developmentally-oriented therapies, the present study aimed to examine the effect of bibliotherapy on fourth and fifth graders students’ depression at Shahid Tavana Primary School in Tabriz. Methodology: A quasi-experimental study and the convenience sampling, 24 students of fourth and fifth graders of ShahidTavana Primary School were selected and assigned in tow groups, that was employed the pre test – post test control group design with a two-month follow-up without the control group. Children’s depression inventory developed by Kovacs was used. After the pretest, the treatment included twelve 60-minute sessions once a week while the control group received no-treatment. Both groups were post tested immediately after the treatment. The experimental group was also re-tested with a two-month time interval in order for the treatment’s stability to be examined. To complete the results of quantitative data, the researcher also gathered qualitative data through semi-structured interviews. The quantitative data was analyzed by means of dependent-samples, t-test and the qualitative data was studied accordingly. Findings: showed that the children’s depression was reduced and after 2 months the reduction was also stable. It also revealed that mothers had positive attitudes toward bibliotherapy Conclusion: It is concluded that not only does bibliotherapy have the potential to reduce children’s depression, but also it can be employed in various educational and therapeutic settings due to its acceptance among mothers.   Manuscript profile

        Purpose: Injuries of skeletal - muscular work are the most common Occupational injuries. In this regard, sciences and technologies, as "ergonomic" is evaluating health practitioners and their performance. This research investigated relationship between knowledge of ergonomic among librarians of organization libraries, museums and documentation Center of Astan Quds Razavie of ergonomics and musculoskeletal injuries librarians of the organization. Methodology: A survey of analytical and practical study was done. Statistical population was 325 Librarians of organization Libraries of Astan Quds Razavi in Mashhad during 2013. According to stratified random Sampling least 186 faculty members selected as sampling population.The tool used in this study was questionnaire that nominal and content validity were confirmed by experienced professors. The Cronbach's alpha confficiont for each scale dimension was greater than0.762 the reliability of the instrument was confirmed. for data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics, statistical software SPSS15, descriptive and inferential statistics and Pearson correlation and T student coefficient was used too. Findings: The average skeletal injuries - muscle librarians surveyed was 24 of 50 and the average knowledge of science of ergonomics was 15.3 of 5. Pearson correlation coefficient between skeletal injuries - muscle of librarians and their knowledge of the science of ergonomics was 28.0-. Rate of absence induced musculoskeletal disorders, was 16% and rate of referred to medical centers was reported 10%. Conclusion: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between rate of the organization of libraries, librarians' knowledge of science ergonomics and musculoskeletal injuries in them. there was no significant relationship between rate of musculoskeletal injuries and the age and gender librarians Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the quality of scientific papers and patent in Iran and Turkey according to Scopus and USA Patent Database.  Methodology: This study has been done with scientometric methods and citation analysis. The study population was all of Iran and turkey patents and scientific articles in USA Patent and Scopus databases Findings: Findings showed that Iran had about 151159 articles and 143 patents in Scopus and USA Patent database. Turkey had 258719 articles and 584 patents in these databases. Also subject similarity between Iran and turkey was not appropriate. Conclusion: According to findings of this study, turkey had better situation than Iran in scientific productivity, therefore Iran must pay attention to release front researches and international collaborative that improve quantity and quality of science and technology situation.   Manuscript profile
