This study aimed to study the relationship between using learning organization components (personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning and system thinking) and the quality of work life of the faculty members in the Islamic Azad University branches of the west of Mazandaran. The research method in this study was a ‘correlation’ type. The population included all full-time faculty members of the Islamic Azad university branches of the west of Mazandaran among which 214 people were selected through stratified random sampling appropriate to the population. Two researcher-made questionnaires were formed: Learning Organization and Quality of Work Life questionnaires. The validity of the questionnaires was determined by a number of theoreticians in management, psychology, education fields. The reliability of Learning Organization questionnaire was 0.81 and the reliability of Quality of Work life questionnaire was measured as 0.84 by applying Cronbach Alpha coefficient. The findings of this study were analyzed by descriptive and inferential methods of statistics (the Multiple Variables Regression Analysis Test and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient Test as well as the ANOVA). The results of the study indicated that there was a meaningful relationship between the application of the learning organization components and the quality of faculty members’ work life in the Islamic Azad universities of the west Mazandaran. There was a meaningful relationship between the learning organization components (personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning and system thinking) and quality of faculty members’ work life in the Azad Universities of west of Mazandaran. Further, among learning organization components, mental models was shown to be the best predictor for faculty members' quality of work life. Thus, the mental models of faculty members were suggested to be used in order to improve their quality of work life. Manuscript profile

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of short-term group interpersonal therapy (IPT) on the psychological well-being and the life quality of addicted individuals’ wives. The method of this study was quasi-experimental and the design was ‘pretest-posttest’ with a control group. The samples were 57 wives who had referred to Rahnama counseling center and the Rehabilitation Office (Behzisti) for their husbands’ treatment. Using a life quality and psychological well-being questionnaire, 30 people of the wives with low psychological well-being and life quality were selected on simple randomization basis and were divided voluntarily into two groups of experimental and control (15 in each group). The experimental group received 10 sessions of IPT techniques weekly, and the control group did not receive any training. After receiving the treatment, the life quality and the psychological well-being of the subjects in each group were measured again. The MANCOVA analysis of the data showed that IPT in the combination analysis on psychological well-being and life quality revealed significant effect and partial eta squared of the combination analysis was shown to be 0.81. In addition, the data analyzed by using ANCOVA with Bonferoni methods partial eta squared revealed the psychological well-being to be 0.61 and the life quality to be 0.67. In other words, the covariance analysis, both in the combination analysis and in the individual analysis indicated that the IPT caused increasing psychological well-being and life quality in the addicted individuals’ wives. The results of the present investigations revealed the significance of IPT in increasing interpersonal relationships and, consequently, on the improvement of psychological well-being and life quality. The results of this study were in line with other research studies and these investigations showed that the training of interpersonal skills can cause psychological well-being and life quality. This study aimed to compare mental health among remarried Shahed spouses and non-remarried Shahed spouses and determining the effectiveness of CBT cognitive behavioral therapy on their mental health components. The research design, in part one of the study, was comparative, and the ‘pretest-posttest’ research design with control group was used for part two. The population of the study included all women who remarried and those who did not remarry in Tonekabon province. The sample in this study included 100 women who were selected based on simple random sampling, and Goldberg’s Mental Health Questionnaire (GHQ) was conducted on these samples. The T-test and Covariance Analysis were used to test the hypotheses of the study, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS software. The research findings showed that there was no difference between Shahed spouses who remarried and those did not remarry in terms of mental health before the treatment. The results also showed that cognitive behavioral training was effective on mental health components of Shahed spouses who remarried. Cognitive behavioral training was also effective on health components among spouses who did not remarry. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between religious orientation (internal/external) and psychological well-being which has been conducted in a correlation method. The population of the study included all Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch. The research sample volume included 71 students selected randomly via cluster sampling from management, law and psychology colleges. The scales of religious orientation (Allport, 1950) and PWI psychological well-being (Carol, 1988) were used to collect the data of the study. Stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the internal and external religious orientation scores and psychological well-being. On the other hand, the results obtained from stepwise regression analysis showed that both internal and external religious orientations were capable to predict psychological well-being. These results could be determined in such a way that the more internal youth’s religious orientation, the more their psychological well-being and the more external youth’s religious orientation, the less their psychological well-being. On the other hand, religious orientation was capable to predict the psychological well-being. Manuscript profile

This study intended to examine the experimented curriculum of undergraduate students of elementary education in the Islamic Azad University at Torbat-e-Heidarie. The research method was a survey. The population was the faculty members, teachers (n=15) and undergraduate senior B.A. students majoring in Elementary Education from the Islamic Azad University at Torbat-e-Heidarie (n=50). The total population was studied. A questionnaire and systematic observation were the data collection instruments in this study. A one-sample t-test and an independent t-test were used for analyzing the data. The results showed that the participant faculty members, teachers and students believed that there was no match between the implemented curriculum and experimented curriculum. In the curriculum implementation, from the students’ point of view, the ‘development approach’ and from the faculty members’ view, the ‘supportive approach’ was considered to be significant. Regarding the consistency of the implemented curriculum and experimented curriculum (concealed, learned and interactive curriculum), there was consensus between teachers and students. Life quality has been proposed as one of the signs for measuring health. It has been expressed as a combination of social, mental and physical welfare that can be understood by an individual or groups of people, and is considered one’s thoughts of his or her situation of life based on culture and value regulation he or she lives in as well as the relation among these thoughts with purposes, expectations, criteria in addition to the consideration of priorities of the person. The present study investigated the relationship between life quality and two variables of perfectionism and feeling of loneliness in medical students of Guilan province. This study was accomplished with the purpose of investigating the relationship between perfectionism and feeling of loneliness and the life quality of medical students in Guilan province. The research method was ‘correlation analysis’ and population of this research were all medical students of medical science university of Guilan (612 people) who were selected via cluster sampling in about 300 students, 150 female student and 150 male students. They were the sample groups of the current study. The research materials were Hill Perfectionism Measure, the brief form of Life Quality Questionnaire of World Health Organization as well as the questionnaire measuring social and mental loneliness. The data were analyzed via Multivariable Regression and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed that perfectionism and feeling of loneliness were perfect explanations of life quality, thus, a higher life quality could be of more relationship with feeling of loneliness and perfectionism which meant that as life quality increased, the feeling of loneliness decreased. The correlation analysis between perfectionism and feeling of loneliness indicated that a significant correlation was achieved, also, the correlation between perfectionism and life quality was significant. Therefore, a significant correlation was achieved between feeling of loneliness and life quality.    Manuscript profile
