“A City like heaven” is the name of one of short stories of a collection written by Simin Daneshvar. In this article, writers have tried to study and analyze this story by structural criticism , using the theories of great structuralists and narratologists as Vladimir Propp, Tzvetan Todorov, Gerard Genette and Northrop Frye, which are concentrating on the narrative aspects of literary texts. Therefore incipit, cloture, paratextual materials and plot of the story will be reviewed. Moreover, the tricks used by author to make the reader stay and fallow the story with enthusiasm will be discussed, and  the words and meaning domain for reaching the main themes of the story, considering the cultural and social aspects and social image of a woman which  the author is making in the reader’s mind, will be remarked. Women as narrators or interlocutors deprived of civil rights in real life reflect their sweet dreams and also social and cultural difficulties with which they are constantly struggling, in the heroine of the story by narration. In literary terminology symbol is a lingual phenomenon which doesn’t indicate any specific meaning but calls a concept to the reader`s mind. Although symbolization has been common in the classical Persian Literature especially in the mystical Literature It has attracted more attention by contemporary poets so that the symbolization has become the richest branch of contemporary poetry. One reason for this is the social political conditions of the society and the other one is “the association of ideas” feature of symbols which makes the reader more involved in the discovery of meaning and through this process adds to the artistic worth of the work and its better enjoyment. Shafi’e Kadkani is one of the contemporary poets who has used a lot of symbols in his poems with social and humane approach. In this paper for explaining the status of symbol in Shafi’e Kadkani’s poetry and his methods of symbolization after studying the poems and finding then extracting the symbols we have analyzed them in three different groups of restricted, frequent and organic ones. The findings show that Shafi’e Kadkani usually gets the symbols from nature or myths and applies them to social, humane and philosophical thoughts and concepts. He also uses his own created symbols in addition to the common symbols of classical literature. Manuscript profile

Nature and its manifestations in pre-romanticism works are distinguishable from those of earlier works. Nature no longer was a simple decoration for the pre-romanticism authors, on the contrary, it had its effects on human. Jean Jacques Rousseau, Chateaubriand, Bernardin de Saint-Pierre gave nature a special place in their works since they believed that man’s true feelings are perfectly reflected in nature and it is a sanctuary. Pre-romanticism authors tried to find God’s presence in different aspects of nature. Surveys of the works of these authors indicate the effect of symbols of nature on their mood. They, in their unique ways, tried to find a way to escape from the routine life and to reach a minimum level of peace, and nature was what they found. In this article the poems of Vali as a poet from Vasoukht school in tenth century has been analyzed based on structuralism. In this kind of criticism emphasizes on construction literary works and structuralism as a way in analysis. Putting up on the side lines the life of poet and author.
