The word Sufism is derived from Arabic and is the name of a tribe’s religion from the fact that it has been purified from ego and knows the objects of universe as a manifestation of God. From the first days of its creation until the fifth century, Sufism has undergone several changes. Sometimes it progressed and some other time it became inactivated. Sufism underwent through up and downs during its contemporary age and many Sufis dedicated their life to it. This survey studies Sufism and its changes from the first until the fifth centuries with an analytical method in order to emphasize the issue that the words Sufism and Sufi had entered in Islamic culture from the second century AH and the third century is accounted as the golden age of Sufism. Monastery establishment, woolen goods covering and sectarianism were common within this century. In the fourth century a general structure was created for Sufism. Not only were Poem and prose used for expressing Sufi’s ideas in the fifth century, but also Sufis benefited from the expression of freedom Manuscript profile

Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) from Sunlight damages the skin in the form of sunburns and skin cancer, depending on the exposure time. Sunscreen products application and proper clothing are highly recommended for skin protection from UVR. This study investigated the level of UV protection factor of dyed wool fabrics dyed with different dyes (acid, chromium and metal complex dyes). The results revealed that UV protection factor (UPF) of wool fabrics has increased just a little after dyeing. The UPF is increased from 2.7 to 4.4 for undyed and metal complex dyed samples, respectively. The other dyed samples have got the UPF as much as Benzophenone, a UV absorber. The amount of UPF displayed that the dyed wool fabrics have got weak UV-protection, and the dyeing has not any significant effect on UV-protection of wool fabric. Manuscript profile

In this study, a new finishing technique is introduced through treatment of wool fabric with reduced graphene oxide/ZnO nanocomposite. Graphene oxide was coated on to wool fabric by dipping the fabric in graphene oxide solution and drying in an oven. The nanocomposite was synthesized on wool fabric in a single step by reduction of zinc acetate and graphene oxide with sodium hydroxide in the impregnation bath. The homogenous distribution of the reduced graphene oxide/zinc oxide nanocomposite on the fiber surface was confirmed by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray mapping. X-ray diffraction patterns proved the presence of zinc oxide nanoparticles on the treated wool fabric. Also, the defect analysis based on X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) established the composition of the nanocomposite. Other characteristics of treated fabrics such as antibacterial activity, photo-catalytic self-cleaning, electrical resistance, ultraviolet (UV) blocking activity and cytotoxicity were also assessed. The treated wool fabrics possess significant antibacterial activity and photo-catalytic self-cleaning property by degradation of methylene blue under sunlight irradiation. Moreover, this process has no negative effect on cytotoxicity of the treated fabric even reduces electrical resistance and improves UV blocking activity Manuscript profile

In sheep, the woolly or hairy fleece type shows variation within and between breeds and populations. Re-cently, the woolly allele was shown to result from the insertion of an antisens retrogene into the 3’UTR of the ovine IRF2BP2 gene. The purpose of this study was to examine this InDel polymorphism within the IRF2BP2 gene using a specific PCR genotyping in 17 North African (Algeria and Tunisia) and Iranian sheep breeds showing various fleece types. The genotyping of the overall animals (n=908) showed the seg-regation of the two alleles insertion (I) and deletion (D), and the three genotypes (II, ID and DD) with vari-ous frequencies. Ouled Djellal, Rembi and Tâadmit known as woolly breeds had 100%, 94% and 94% of II homozygous animals, respectively. In contrast, Ifilène and Sidaou known as hairy breeds had 100% and 99% of DD homozygous animals. Other breeds showed the segregation of the I allele with a frequency from 3% to 91%. An association analysis, carried out only for the Algerian sheep breeds, revealed that this poly-morphism was significantly associated with the fleece type trait (P<0.05). Thus, the current work meets previous results to further confirm the genetic effect of the insertion occurring into the 3′ UTR of the IRF2BP2 gene on the fleece type trait of sheep breeds.
