Recently, the modernist novel was based on the visual data taken from the visual arts, especially the seventh art, so the features of the cinematic image appeared in the narrative depth engraved on a large scale. Employing the visual image in the narrative has several effects, which are reflected in the movements of characters and objects in the narrative space, or the framing of scenes depicted by specific techniques. Zahran Al-Qasimi's novel "Al-Qafar's Alienation" is considered one of the most important novels in which the writer uses vocabulary related to the cinematic language. This study relies on the descriptive-analytical approach to reveal the common windows between the cinematic elements and the narrative text, through which junctures emerge that include vocabulary that characterizes both arts. From this point of view, this study aims to show the extent to which vocabulary and narrative paragraphs are subject to cinematic techniques, and to emphasize the two functions of the snapshot; Reading and visual and the reflection of the semiological connotations of them, so the results obtained from this convergence is the transcendence of the fictional text towards the narrative text. With this work, the writer may give the recipient the opportunity to enter into a visual world that adopts the idea of depicting the scene and directing it. The focus of this study revolves around five techniques that intersect with the written narrative. Action and reaction shot, witness Manuscript profile

Metaphor is the most commonly linguistic phenomenon debated by the scientists, philosophers, writers and linguists. This research aims at describing the function of the metaphor in everyday speech samples of Persian speakers. To this purpose, the authors randomly selected fifty Persian speaker students among others in the college of Human Sciences, in Islamic Azad University of Ahwaz. Required samples collected via recording 30 hours of their speech presented in three different predetermined linguistic contexts. As many as 122metaphorical expressions were extracted, out of 1000 recorded sentences. Our statistical analysis and the results indicated that a significant part of the Persian speaker’s samples are metaphorical and various types of conceptual metaphors such as ontological metaphors, structural metaphors, event structure metaphors, proverbs and stereotyped phrases could be found in their speech samples. The results also made it clear that the linguistic context has remarkable effects on the use of metaphor in discourse.  In other words, in the formal situation, the use of metaphor was less than the informal situation. That is to say, the more formal the linguistic context is metaphor is less frequently used and the more linguistic context is informal, using metaphor is commonly more frequent. Manuscript profile

One of the epistemological questions in the field of literature is the quality of synchronic relationship of literary discourse with philosophical schools of thoughts and corresponding social events on the one hand and its diachronic relationship with other times especially with the present day literature on the other. It is a topic that warrants investigation because of the challenges  the present day human being is struggling with namely; lack of spirituality and nihilism, western racism , profiteering , deviation from ethics and magnanimity, extreme individualism, etc.  Undoubtedly the essence of Attar’s works especially his masterpiece Manteq-o-Tair, having a mystical culture and moving beyond ethnocentrism and focusing upon limpid human emotions and keeping down personal and social emotions, has given his works a cosmological/universal function and made him a figure not limited to any specific time and place. And that’s why his thoughts have been applied across time and have got an incremental relationship with the present time. The present study employing a descriptive- analytic and hermeneutic approach intends to explore and clarify Attar views which could serve as a response to the spiritual challenges and conflicts encountered by the contemporary humans. In short, the research has revealed that from Attar’s point of view ignoring self knowledge and turning a deaf ear to the call of the instinct has led the man to complex challenges and no considering the spiritual and divine aspects of the human existence and intuitive knowledge versus factual knowledge has paved the way for disunity and violence.
