The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the efficacy of self-compassion oriented mindfulness training on worry and resilience in the sexually abused girls with emphasis on culture. The statistical population was the whole client girls with sexually abused of Ostad Shahriar Psychology Clinic in Ardabil on the year 2021. Thirty sexually abused girls were selected through the purposive sampling method and randomly assigned into two equal experimental and control groups. The research was semi-experimental of pretest, posttest with control group and follow-up phase. To evaluate the subjects Pennsylvania Worry Questionnaire (Meyer & et al, 1990) and Resilience Questionnaireof Conner and Davidson(2003) were implemented. The experimental group received 8 weeks of self-compassion oriented mindfulness training; 90 minutes each session. Two months after the end of the training sessions the follow-up phase was done. The control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed by Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results of the comparison of the two groups posttest indicated that the experimental and control groups score significantly differed(p<0.01). Concerning the obtained results, it could be concluded that self-compassion oriented mindfulness training was effective on the worry and resilience in the sexually abused girls. The results were consistent after the two months follow up. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of teaching Mindfulness and Working Memory on academic well-being second grade secondary school students. The statistical population of this study includes all second-grade secondary school students in Sabzevar city during the academic year of 2017-2018. To collect data, Tuminnin-Sweeney et al. Educational well-being Questionnaire (2012) used. This research was a semi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test design with control group. A sample of 45 people who were lower in the three dependent variables who were willing to participate in the training sessions were selected and randomly assigned to two groups of test and one control group (each group was 15). Within one week of pre-test run for each of the three groups, one of the experimental groups was subjected to an independent variable of mindfulness education and the second group was subjected to working memory training and the control group did not receive any training. In this research, to analyze the differences between the groups, the variance analysis of variables of multiple and single variable variables was used, taking into account the intra-group (test) and intergroup (group membership) variables. The results showed that mindfulness training increased academic well-being in students. Also, working memory training can increase academic well-being in students. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the effectiveness of mindfulness education and working memory training, and training mindfulness is more effective in increasing academic well-being. Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mindfulness training on hope and adaptation to school in students who have chosen a compulsory field of mathematical and technical sciences. This quasi-experimental study was conducted in two groups with the method of before, after and follow-up, which was performed on 30 students who chose the compulsory field of mathematical and technical sciences in Birjand in the academic year 2021-2022. Mindfulness training intervention was performed in 8 sessions of 60 minutes for the experimental group. No intervention was performed for the control group. Data were collected using the Miller Hope Questionnaire and the Kim School Adaptation Questionnaire in three stages: before, after and follow-up. SPSS software version 18 was used at a significance level of p <0.05. The results showed that after the intervention, a significant improvement in hope and school adjustment scores was obtained in the students of the experimental group compared to the control group (P <0.001). This study revealed the importance of using mindfulness interventions in improving hope and school adjustment in students with a choice of compulsory field. Therefore, it is suggested that this intervention be considered by principals, teachers and other educational planners in school program. Manuscript profile

The current research was to compare the effectiveness of forgiveness training and mindfulness training on communication skills in persons with substance abuse disorder. The semi-experimental research method was pre-test, post-test and follow-up with a heterogeneous control group. The statistical population included all drug users who referred to the addiction treatment camp in Zabul city. The semi-experimental research method was pre-test, post-test and follow-up with a heterogeneous control group. The statistical population included all drug users who referred to the addiction treatment camp in Zabul city, 45 persons whose score in the communication skills questionnaire was 1.5 standard deviation units higher than the average and were randomly identified into three groups (two experimental groups and one control group) were placed. The first experimental group received 12 sessions of forgiveness training and the second experimental group received 8 sessions of mindfulness training and the control group did not receive any intervention. The data were collected using the Queen Dam communication skills questionnaire (2004) and analyzed using the variance analysis method with repeated measurement design (simple mixed design). The results showed that forgiveness training and mindfulness training have a positive effect on the communication skills of persons with substance abuse disorder. On the other hand, there is a difference between the effectiveness of forgiveness training and mindfulness training on the communication skills of persons with substance abuse disorder. And the effectiveness of mindfulness training is more than forgiveness training. Considering the effectiveness of the two methods of teaching forgiveness and mindfulness, this method can be used to increase the communication skills of persons with substance abuse.
