Once he complains about deportation and homesickness, a psychological role is assigned to the place; and the national role of the place is manifested through expressing passion, love and dream of returning to home. Negative and positive social characteristics, accent, and scientific groups give the social role to the location. Political prisoning, the issue of oil and Arab politicians, as well as Palestine make the political role of location appears. Calling for historical and religious locations and characters leads to the religious and political character for the location. The aesthetics role of the location is manifested through nature; further, the symbolic and mythical role of the location is appeared in places like dessert, mountains, and tomb.  Manuscript profile

Study of the second Pahlavi poets point of view toward religion, religious believes and divine doctrines has been considered as one of the most considerable issues in contemporary poem. Moreover, considering mental structure of artists and also the religion status in the second Pahlavi’s period, this issue has received a special attention. Composing religious poem had been current many years ago. For example, Kasaee Marvzi can be regarded as the first poet who composed the religious poem or the first Iranian religious poems composed by Avesta. The trend of composing religious poems has been growing. Although there has an anti-religious atmosphere of Qajar and Pahlavi’s kings in contemporary period, manifestation of religious believes is completely obvious. Two movements can be seen in the second Pahlavi period: First, the religious classical poem which followed the same religious poems belonging to old poets; Second the emergence of religious poem in the form of New Poem. The present article has revealed the way of religious believes reflection in poems of second Pahlavi poets through categorizing evidences of religious doctorines and behaviors such as the Holy Qoran’s manifestation, reflection of traditions (Hadith), narrations (Revayat), virtues (manaqeb), and elegies (marthyeh).   Manuscript profile

The purpose of the present research was to study the course of romanticism and its transition in Forough Farrokhzad's poetry. Romanticism was one of the most important literary schools in the world which rooted in the West's economic and social developments and has been critically accounted for, in various ways. However, in Iran, the material grounds for the emergence of this school had not been entirely completed and, consequently, romanticism could not be activated in the literary community like its western counterpart. From the Constitutional Revolution and the first translation of literary works, some features of this school had entered literary life and then had prevailed with the social developments. Forough Farrokhzad was one of the most influential figures in Iranian romantic poetry whose poem was a mirror of the developments in the Iranian romantic school. So it was possible to study the dynamics of this school in the field of poetry today in her works. This article aimed to use the descriptive-analytical method to emphasize the characteristics of the school of romanticism in transforming of the poetry of Forough Farrokhzad. The results indicated that Forough Farrokhzad's poetry had been able to reach a special position in a difficult path of superficial romanticism to a well-known and thoughtful romanticism. One of the ways for recognizing the culture, thoughts and beliefs of a nation is studying her myths. The origins of some rites and cults which are useful in the life of contemporary man are rooted in the myths as well. Some modern writers and/or poets use myths for relating a message; and by doing so, they enrich their works. In the present article, the attempt has been made to show the function of myth in the works of Sohrāb Sepehri employing descriptive-analytical method. Considering the origin of man as subject that is beyond the social themes, Sepehri uses an ontological approach and goes to the world of myths. He rejects the tyranny of the times and skill fully shows the conditions of his society by comparing it to the myths. Sepehri's poems demonstrate rebelling against the history of his times and show the desires and material and spiritual needs of contemporary man. Manuscript profile
