The aim of this study was to identify and determine the validity of the content of personal mastery and its dimensions on the graduate students of universities and centers of higher education from the perspective of experts. This applied research, exploratory and qualitative. Participants in this research is targeted in the first part of 7 people with Delphi technique, and in the second part of the 22 people, Certified masters of the Harvard, Florida, Kharizmi and Sciences and Research Universities The academic level of associate with the criteria above and specialized books. The findings show the consensus of the universities on the concept of personal Mastery and identification of its main dimensions: Forgiveness, Know Yourself, Love Yourself, Maintain a Positive Mindset, Practice Discipline, Be Proactive, The beliefs of Self-Regulations, and Develop writ and live your purpose statement, in university graduate students.         Selecting supervisor is considered as the most important decision for higher education students (in particular postgraduate students). This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting the selection of supervisors and its consequences for postgraduate students. The method of research was of the descriptive-survey type. The population of research included all male and female PhD students in the academic years 91-92 and 92-93 in Humanities, Science, Technical and Engineering disciplines of state universities of Tehran who had defended their Master thesis within the last two years (N=3092). Using Cochran sampling formula, 342 individuals were selected. A researcher questionnaire was used to collect data. The validity of the questionnaire was established by experts and its reliability was measured by Cronbach’s alpha test and to which the coefficient of 0/87.2 was obtained which shows the acceptable level of the research tool. One sample t-test was used to analyze the data. According to the results, students paid more attention to academic criterion and behavioral traits in selecting supervisors than non-academic criterion. In relation to the consequences of the selection of supervisors also students were not satisfied with the assistance of their supervisors in finding suitable jobs and selected the research motivation variable as the major outcome after selecting the right supervisor. Regarding the factors affecting the selection of supervisors, considering all factors in this selection and regarding the consequences after the selection, assisting the students in finding suitable jobs and presenting incentives and motivations to students is recommended to supervisors.         Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study the effective factors on personal information management and to recognize  the strength and weakness in personal information management of postgraduate students at Alzahra University. Methodology: The methodology of the research, in the part of the literature review and theoretical literature, is library study and in the part of the analysis, is survey study (descriptive and analytic). The data were gathered through a researcher made questionnaire that contained 4 parts and 73 questions. The research population includes all of the postgraduate students (at M.A/M.Sc and PhD degrees) at Alzahra University whom are studying at this university during the educational year of 2011-2012. Based on the random sampling, 309 postgraduate students at M.A/M.Sc degree and 70 postgraduate students at PhD degree participated at this research. Findings: It should be noted that personal information management of the postgraduate students has been studied under the factors of “attitude, knowledge and skill.” The research results represent that among the effective factors on personal information management, the attitude average is 3.95, knowledge’s average is 3.29, and the skills set have the average of 3.17. Furthermore, the average of the three mentioned factors’ averages is about 3.47. Conclusion: The amount (3.47) indicates that the situation of personal information management of postgraduate students at Alzahra University is at the upper to the average level. On the other hand, the situation of personal information management by Ph.D students is the same as M.A/M.Sc students and this amount is around 3.47. Thus it can be said that there is no significant relation between personal information management by Ph.Dstudents and M.A/M.Sc students. Manuscript profile

          Purpose: The purpose of this research was the identification of information milieus for Postgraduate students at Razi University. To provide constructive solutions for optimization information milieus and intelligence new information milieus.  Methodology: The participants of this research were 310 Razi University students in the period studied the Persian date ordibehesht 91 M. A. and PH. D courses in all disciplines. Sampling was done according to Morgan table for 310 questionnaires. The descriptive survey method was used in carrying it out. Analysis of the data using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical tests such as Friedman test was conducted.   Findings: The findings show that their principle information milieus are: Internet center of university, library and students' viva. The main reason the participants stated for using information milieus were easy communication to other people in that environments, ease of experience and knowledge exchange. The pointed to interaction methods in these information milieus as: conversations, SMS, and Email. It may be concluded that the best solutions for reinforcement and enrichment of information milieu are increasing students' access hours to internet, providing them with free internet accounts and increasing number of available computers in the internet center. Conclusion: According to new study, idea exchange and connecting to information bases are the most motivation to access students to  information milieus. Information milieus emphasis to there factors of human, place and information due to provide emotional and exchange data for getting new technology in individual frame. On the other hand eye contact and direct relation superior to new technologies and recently attention to information need and complex relation and information technique. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The present research was conducted to identify factors influencing some students to choose Library and Information Science (LIS) as their field of study. Methodology: The research method of this study was analytical survey and the statistical population was composed of undergraduate and postgraduate students of LIS at universities located in Tehran. A sample including 240 students was selected by stratified random sampling method. Research data were collected by the questionnaire composed of three factors motivation, attitude, and expectations. Findings: Considering findings of the research, 27.1 percents of the students identified this field accidentally and 26.3 percent by the university entrance exam guidebook. Obtaining an acceptable scientific and social position was the most important motivating factor to select LIS as their field. 82 percent of students became interested in LIS after coming to university. Conclusion: Overall, the field LIS was able to satisfy 39.6 percent of expectations of its students in a middle level.   Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The present research aimed to determine the information needs of post-graduate students at Bu-Ali Sina University located in Hamedan, with emphasis on available electronic databases (including Rose net and Daneshyar). Methodology: The methodology was descriptive survey using a questionnaire, reliability of which was measured 0.85 based on Cronbach's alpha. Findings: The results revealed that the most important goal of students when searching for data is to find background information for their research tasks and projects. The Science direct/Elsevier database ranks first (89.2%) as the most used  electronic database by the students, while Springer, ISI, Scoups, Proquest, ACS, Oxford Journals, Emerald, ASME, Ebsco, ASCE, IOP, and AMS rank 2nd  to 13th respectively. Conclusions: The main obstacles of easy access to information are mentioned as: not enough knowledge of English language and the interruption of universities subscription in the case of some electronic databases.   Manuscript profile
