Purpose: The current research was conducted with the aim of designing and validating the model of information technology development to teach and promote knowledge management and information literacy for school administrators. Method: The current research is applied in terms of purpose and mixed in terms of data collection method. The statistical population in the qualitative section were experts in the field of management and information and communication technology, which were selected with a purposeful method and semi-structured interviews were conducted with them until theoretical saturation. A total sample of 400 people was selected using random multi-stage cluster sampling method. To collect the required information, the library method was used to review the texts, the field method was used for the qualitative part of the semi-structured interview, and for the quantitative part, the researcher-made questionnaire was used. Findings: findings indicated that 5 effective factors in the training and empowerment of managers were identified. which based on path coefficients; The variable of developing knowledge management policies and strategies in the first place; The variable of training and empowering managers in the second place; The variable of change in organizational and structural culture is ranked third, the variable of management and leadership support is ranked fourth, and the variable of information technology development is ranked fifth. The value of GOF was calculated with a value of 0.592, which is higher than the criterion value of 0.3 and shows the appropriate power of the model in predicting the endogenous current variable of the model. Conclusion: Thus, we conclude that the development of information technology has a positive and direct effect on the education and promotion of knowledge management and information literacy of managers.
