The effect of LHRH-A2 alone and combined with dopamine antagonist (pimozide) on induction of final maturation were investigated in Three-spot gourami. Therefore, 80 female fish were evaluated in 8 treatments. The fishes in different groups were treated with LHRH-A2 (2, 8 µg per fish), pimozide (50µg per fish) and the combination of LHRH-A2 (2, 8 µg per fish) and pimozide(50µg per fish), there were 3 groups as control. Controls received the mixture of DMSO/PG (1:9) and FIA/Saline (1:1). One group also was  inject. 7 days after injection the mean of gonadosomatic index percentage and histological structures of ovary were compared with control groups.   Statistical analyses showed that the results of second (GSI%: 4/477) and fifth (GSI%: 5/027) Treatments in comparison with control group (GSI%: 2/92) were significant (P<0.05). This result was approved by histological study. Histological results showed that fifth treatment was more effective on induction of final maturation in Three-spot gourami. Manuscript profile

The   effect  of   Cucurbita  pepo  extract and  17β-estradiol(E2) on  HPG  axis  was  investigated  in  male  Three  spot  gourami. The purpose of this research was evaluated effect of Cucurbita  pepo on sex steroids level and measurement of blood calcium and also changes of liver tissue. Therefore, 100specimen of immature male fish with mean weight (2.5±0.5g) were evaluated in 10 treatments. The fishes in different groups were treated with Cucurbita pepo extract and the E2 separately. (10, 20, 30,50mg/Kg body weight). There was two groups as controls. Control I received 20µL methanol and control II was intact. After 20 days experimental, fishes were dissected. To measure the steroid hormones and calcium ion, tissue fluids were separated and the level of estradiol, testosterone and calcium ion analyzed. Results showed that level of sex steroid and Ca+2,for Cucurbita  pepo extract in treatments I and II were 1.1,0.83,19.73 , for treatment III were 1.34,1.4,20.65 , for treatment IV were 1.8,1.68,22.86 and level of sex steroid and Ca+2, for (E2) in treatment V were 0.88,2.55,24.43and VI treatment was 0.91,3.54,27.15 and for treatment VII were 0.97,4.41,30.80, for treatment VIII were 1.08,6.45,35.32 in comparison with control group(0.78,0.52,16.46)that were significant (P<0.05). These results showed that treatments IV and VIII were more affected by level steroids and   Ca +2 ions in male Three spot gourami. The overall conclusion is that extract of Cucurbita  pepo could possibly induce sexual maturity in male Three spot gourami. Manuscript profile

After 20 days experimental fishes ovaries removed and weighted. Histopathological studies of ovary and gonadosomatic indires of fishes of the 8 tretments were compared with those of control groups, fishes. Statistical analysis showed that the results of comparison of amount of GSI for silymarin in first and second treatments was 1.2% and for third and fourth treatments was 1/8% Amount of GSI for (E2) in fifth treatment was 0.7% and sixth treatment was 1.2% and for seventh and eighth treatments it was 1.75% in comparison with control group which was 0.5% these defferences were significant (P<0.05). This result was approved by histopathological finding which showed that fourth and eighth treatment were more effective because begining moving Germinal vesicle on growth and maturation of oocytes in female three Spot Gourami. Pharmaceutical compounds are useful role in the growth of ornamental fish. To investigate the effects of Clomiphene on food ratio and growth factors in Gourami fish species (Trichogaster trichopterus) was done.  The Growth rate increasing was aimed for Achieving to more fish count in shorter time and less costs in the hatchery and fish farming. The numbers of 140 gourami fishes were fed for 2 month with dietary supplementation impregnated with different ratio of clomiphene (1, 1.5 and 2 mg/kg in dry diet), in 4 groups includes (a control group and 3 treatment groups). Fish biometric assay (total weight and standard length) were performed every two weeks and growth indices were calculated monthly. The results have shown that the use of clomiphene in the diet of growth factors (body weight increase, percentage of body weight increase, specific growth rate, protein efficiency ratio, average daily growth) was significant and positive effected, but food conversion factor was decreased significantly. Therefore, Clomiphene can be used as an additive and dietary supplementation in feed for Gourami fish Trichogaster trichopterus (3 spots gourami). Manuscript profile

Gourami is an important freshwater ornamental fish remarkable to fish lovers due to its variety of colors and high compatibility in the aquarium environment as well as its special beauty. The gourami is a member of the order Suffolk and is a suborder of labyrinthine fish. It is an herbivorous fish, but in artificial aquarium conditions, it also eats live foods such as Artemia. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of using estradiol on reproductive characteristics of golden gourami fish. This experiment was aimed at prematurely maturing and producing more fish in a shorter time and at a lower cost in ornamental fish breeding workshops. In this study, 150 golden gourami fish in five groups of 10 (including one control group and four treatment groups, each with three replications) were studied for two months with diets containing different concentrations of estradiol (5.5. 0, 1, 1.5, 2 mg/kg dry diet). Biometrics of samples including standard length and total weight were performed every two weeks and fish reproduction indices were calculated at the end of the period. The results showed that the higher the dose of estradiol, the higher the reproductive index. Since one of the goals of experts is to increase the fertility of fish, according to the results of this study, the use of estradiol is recommended to improve the growth status of fish. Studies shows that Fenugreek is due to estrogenic compounds phytoestrogenic properties. In this study, it is used Fenugreek seed extract as a phytoestrogen and 17β estradiol (E2) on ovarian and liver tissues of female spot gourami. For this purpose, the fshes were released to chlorine less aquarium water, their weighted average was between 1.5 ± 0.5 g. They were kept for one week in same condition for adaptation with new condition. These experiments were performed in ten groups (two control groups and eight treated groups); each group contained ten immature of female fshes. For 20 days, Fenugreek extract and E2 (following doses 10,20,30,50 mg/kg) were injected separately under dorsal fn, injection method was IM (Inter muscular). After 24 hours, ovary and liver tissues were taken, after passage of texture and staining, the tissues were examined under microscope and were compared with control treatment. Then using the software programs like SPSS and statistical tests like DUNCON and ANOVA, Ovarian and liver tissue samples were compared with different treatments as well as Gonadosomatic and hepatosomatic indices were measured. Signifcant differences in treatment of GSI and HSI treated with Trigonella foenum-graceum L and E2 was observed in control groups. Results showed that increasing the dose of fenugreek extract and E2 GSI, HSI and diameter of oocytes increased but this increase was more signifcant in E2.   Manuscript profile
