In order to create his poetry, every poet inevitably deviates from some grammar principles and rules, and he always tries to express the meaning in a clear way; Because otherwise, he has taken a step in the insignificance of poetry and poets. One of the ways to know the poetry of any poet is to pay attention to the syntactic and grammatical rules used in that poem, to examine how the relationships between the parts and elements of a sentence are considered, considering the rules that are considered within the structure of a sentence with a specific language. It determines the syntactic and grammatical structure of each poem.In this research, an attempt has been made to investigate the use of syntactic and grammatical rules with a formalist approach in the poems of the Third Brotherhood and Adonis with a comparative and analytical method. In this regard, the shifting of sentence elements, deletion, use of verbs, etc. in the poems of the two poets in question were investigated. The results of the research show that Adonis is more advanced in the components of departure from syntactic rules, moving sentence elements, introducing and delaying, and deleting sentence elements compared to Akhwan, and Akhwan has been able to avoid more syntactic norms in the field of using old Persian and archaic words. Idealism and having an ideal society (Utopia) is the greatest aspiration that has preoccupied the mind of human who has been seeking perfection. Literature realm has provided an extensive field for poets and writers to propose their notions. Persian and Arab classic poets have not neglected this matter either, and have tried to depict their ideal world through different perspectives and thereby have left diverse works. Furthermore, the footprint of idealism and that of the imagination of an ideal world in modern works also can be easily perceived and we can characterize the desired world through the poems of contemporary poets. Fereidoon Moshiri and Adonis are regarded as two modernist innovative poets of Persian and Arab literatures, who paid great attention to utopia in their poems. From this point of view, we can find some similarities in their works. The present article has surveyed some of the features and components of the ideal world from the perspective of these two poets and it deals, within possible limits, with the similarities of their thoughts in this field. 4 - A Study of Intellectual Motifs in T. S. Eliot and Adonis’s New Critical Approaches

        T. S. Eliot’s peculiar symbolism is professionally distinctive. Eliot bases the atypical language of poetry on paradox, irony, ambiguity, myth, and symbol; and achieves objective and tangible imagery in an exclusively unexpected method, consequently intertwining sensibility and emotion. This multifarious method relies on Eliot’s theory of the objective correlative, which he applied to the Waste Land. The objective correlative firstly relies on the de-characterization of the author, this being the cornerstone of new critical methodology, and sees poetry as an independent and self-sufficient phenomenon that should be in turn analyzed through such internal and essential criteria as complexity, ambiguity, and textual cohesion and coherence in order to study textual unity and integrity. Secondly this theory is closely associated with symbolism both as a literary technique and school. Thirdly, there is the incorporation of tradition in poetry which reflects the neoclassical orientation of this theory. Adonis is among those poet-critics who have indirectly been impressed by Eliot’s theory of the objective correlative. Adonis, like Eliot, believes that poetry is not an expression of character but instead an escape from personality and character. Thus the speaker should look at past poems from a historical point of view, that is, he or she should absorb and digest the prior poem. Therefore, the poet should adopt a language different than the language of science and philosophy. Part of this peculiar language comprises of symbolism. This study attempts to first elucidate Eliot’s theory of the objective correlative, second to investigate its corresponding precepts and principles in Adonis’s poetic theory, third to highlight instances of this theory in the works of Eliot and Adonis’ contemporaries, and last but not least this study will discuss the status of Eliot and Adonis as the pioneers of New Criticism in the English and Arabic traditions respectively. Adonis aestivalis L. belongs to the Ranunculoidae sub family of Ranunculaceae family. Up to now many reports has proven the presence of tetraterpenoids, phenolic compounds and cardiac glycoside in the genus Adonis. The most important mentioned effect of A. aestivalis is it's uses in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia or sexual problems. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant activity, total phenolic and flavonoid content of the methanolic (%80) and ethyl acetate extract of A. aestivalis and compare them with each other. The total phenolic content (TPC) of the extracts of A. aestivalis was determined using the Folin ciocalteau assay at the presence of galic acid as standard and also the total flavonoid content (TFC) was determined using spectrophotometer methods at the presence of catechin as standard. Antioxidant activity of the extracts of A. aestivalis was determined upon Ferric-Reducing-Antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. The result showed that the total phenolic content of the methanolic extract was determined to be 607.262.35 mg GAE/g sample and total flavonoid content 97.810.007 mg catechin equivalent/g sample more than ethyl acetate extract (378.378.64 mg GAE/g sample, 89.730.003 mg catechin equivalent/g sample, respectively). Also the FRAP properties of the methanolic extract of A. aestivalis was determined to be 3.9850.001 mg GAE/g sample more than ethyl acetate extract (3.4940.0004) mg GAE/g sample. The results showed that the methanolic extract of A. aestivalis has high antioxidant activity, total phenolic and flavonoid content. Therefore further comprehensive investigation is required to determine the antioxidant properties of A. aestivalis. Manuscript profile

The basic elements in literary images and imaginary forms, such as metaphor, simile, irony, metaphor, matching of the senses, etc., depend on colors; color has an important and prominent place; Because it gives literary words dimension, direction and depth and also its great impact on our lives and spirits is evident, poets use this element to give objectivity to their literary concepts. The abundant effect of colors has encouraged many researchers to study their effects and dimensions, both positive and negative, and each of them is trying to show these effects to others. In this article, an attempt has been made to study color as one of the main and important elements in contemporary literature, especially in the poems of Adonis and Qaisar Aminpour, by descriptive-comparative method, and also to evaluate the poems of these two Syrian and Iranian poets. The most obvious achievement of this research is that these two poets used six colors of black, white, blue, green, red and yellow with different committees to reflect and express different intentions and themes that were often due to the social conditions of the society. Their symbolic use was used to add to the richness of their poems. Manuscript profile

9 - Religion and Post-Modernism challenges in Adonis poems: An Epistemological Approach

The philosophical basis of postmodernism, especially in cosmological sphere, is on the lack of the belief in the metaphysics and the skepticism in efficiency of religious framework for understanding human essence which is based on rationality, instinct and revelation. The sovereignty of language is very important in this trend, because the language from this point of view is the essential device for understanding values and their mechanisms. Within the postmodern ideology, language and all its manifestations are understood as cultural symbols outside the realm of "absolutism". This attitude led to impose "relativism" and "individualism" upon the exhaustive principles (grand narratives) that were earlier considered universal. This philosophical effort especially in metaphysics and occult fields has not yet reached to reliable facts. The focus of this paper is on the study of the challenge of religion and Postmodernism and the anxieties emerged from it in the poetry of Adonis. The article in a descriptive-analytical method and by a philosophical-cognitive approach studies those poems of Adonis that bear such philosophical outlooks. It concludes that postmodernism in the poetry of Adonis shows this tension in the following fields: relativism; denial of absolutism; refute of grand narratives and disobedience to religion which do not conform to the absolute religious principles of monotheism, especially of Islam. In this study we have also pointed to the philosophical differences that postmodernism has brought about, because of its distance from the religion of Islam and its interaction with the texts of the other revealed religions. So, it is clear that the problem of the Western postmodern philosophy with religion results from the idea that their religious text does not provide them with convincing knowledge in most cases. What we have seen in those texts, therefore, is a multiple and contradictory interpretations throughout different periods, the interpretations that postmodernism announced its main desires, that we see so much in the poetry of Adonis with a philosophical taste.
