Natural products from plants, animals, microbes and minerals have long been a traditional source for treating human diseases. Recent advances in analytical, spectroscopic, and high-throughput screening technology have greatly revived the discovery of natural drugs, including the contribution of marine products-based drugs. The marine environment is a unique resource that contains enormous biological diversity and may potentially lead to successful treatments. An increasing number of compounds from marine sources are entering clinical trials, and thus, the field's impact on the pharmaceutical industry is increasing. Marine organisms are excellent producers of natural chemicals with diverse structures and pharmacological activities. Most of the new products being produced from the sea are anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious products. Invertebrates and seaweeds are diverse and at the same time rich sources of biologically active substances for the production of new drugs. Despite all the efforts made to isolate new drugs from the sea, due to the obstacles in the way of the mass production of these drugs, including the limitation of the reserves of marine organisms, the cultivation and propagation of these organisms and the isolation of medicinal substances from them, in the realm of experience and The test remains. However, according to the progress of science, marine medicines have a very bright perspective and will lead to the creation and expansion of effective treatment methods in the medical field in the near future.          Natural extracts from plants are one of the most important primary sources for the preparation of preservatives, flavorings, cosmetics, perfumery, dyes, and medicines. Extracting effective substances and natural extracts from different plants is a very important thing that researchers in different fields pay special attention to. Considering the need of societies to extract effective plant compounds, it has led to wider researches in the field of introducing extraction processes. There are various extraction methods to extract active plant compounds. Traditional methods of obtaining natural compounds of plants, such as water distillation or steam extraction and extraction with organic solvent, have disadvantages such as loss of volatile compounds, low efficiency, long extraction time, destruction of unsaturated compounds and the remaining toxic solvent. In order to improve the efficiency of extracting effective substances from medicinal plants, new methods have been invented. One of these methods is the use of ultrasound waves. The purpose of this study is to know more about the new method of extraction with the help of ultrasound waves, along with its advantages and disadvantages compared to other methods. According to the results of this study, ultrasonic extraction method is a new, fast, efficient and cost-effective method for extracting effective compounds from plant texture.  Manuscript profile

Antioxidants are compounds that protect against cell damage caused by molecules called free radicals. These free radicals cause damage to DNA, cell membrane and enzymes. Various food sources rich in antioxidants, such as fruits, vegetables, spices, and types of tea... reduce the effect of free radicals or oxidative stress. Ginger is a plant with the scientific name Zingiber officinale, whose rhizome is used as a medicine to treat a wide range of diseases in the form of fresh, powder, spice, oil and extract. Scientific studies have shown that ginger has many bioactive compounds, among these compounds we can mention 6-gingerol, which is one of the main factors responsible for the pungency of ginger and has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-tumor properties. Ginger is related to it. Also, the use of ginger in food improves the physicochemical properties of different food products. This presented article is the result of the results of published articles related to the functional properties of ginger based on review and research studies. Manuscript profile
