The total length and total weight was measured to investigate the status of fish growth and in order to measure the accumulation of carotenoids in the skin and muscle, was used from spectrophotometry. Results:The length, weight, gain weight, condition factor and Special growth factor of treatments especially in entire experimental period were lower related to negative and positive control treatments. The amount of carotenoids in the skin and muscle tissues of fish in all treatments was observed higher than the negative control. In experimental treatments with increasing concentration of natural carotenoid in the diets had increased the carotenoid skin and muscle tissues (p≤0.05).Counclusion:Low performance between different indexes of growth in experimental treatments, represents presence of limiting factors of growth, the high fiber and low fat Content in tomato powder experimental treatments.Reducing the storage of carotenoids in comparison with the positive control treatment and increasing its storage compared to non-pigmented treatment in experimental treatments indicates inadequate and ineffective metabolism of carotenes in tomato powder in silver dollar fish.            This study was done in order to determine the parasitic fauna of ornamental fish in Qazvin province during 6 months between winter to spring 2014. For this purpose, 240 dying fish from 12 ornamental fish farms were selected randomly and each sample was examined for ectoparasites in parasitology laboratory overall 11 farms in winter and 12 farms in spring were infected by Ichthyophthirius, Chilodonella, Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus and Trichodina. There was a significant difference between the rate of infestation and the breed of fish. Ciclid was the most infested breed and Severum was the least infected. The highest infestation rate belongs to Ichthyophthirius and the lowest infestation rate belongs to Chilodonella (p<0.05) there was a significant correlation between the type of aquarium water source and infestation rate (p<0.05). Infection was higher where well water was used. There was a relationship between infection and water temperature which the highest infection rate observed at temperatures above 30 oC and the lowest at 25-28 oC . This is the first survey in Qazvin province and the results shows the infestation of ornamental fish with ectoparasites in this area. Manuscript profile

This paper used the results of a research project entitled biodiversity of inland water fishes of Iran which was carried out from 2005 to 2010. Some 3500 fish specimens were obtained from different basins of Iran by using electrofishing method, cast net, gill net and hook. Using criteria such as size, shape and color, some of them are considered suitable to keep in aquarium. Due to the results 25 species from 11 Genera belong to 4 families Cyprinidae, Cyprinodontidae, Cobitidae and Nemacheilidae are regarded suitable to be introduced as aquarium fishes. Manuscript profile
