Manuchehri Damghani (?-1040 A.D.), like his contemporary poets of that era, has paid especial attention to Arab poets and their poems. But the impression of Arab poems in his style is so prominent that distinguishes him from other poets who used Khorasani's style of poetry. The impressions of Arab poems in Manuchehri's style have shown themselves in different ways: writing several odes based on the patterns of pre-Islamic odes; Imitating those poets who wrote about wine such as Emra-ol-Ghays and Abu Novas; translation or adoption of some poetic themes; the use of Arabic sentences without any second motive or eloquence; and finally, mentioning Arab poets, myths and poetic beloved.Following the style of Arabic poetry is in sharp contrast with Manuchehri's innovations and creativity. Perhaps one of his motives was to follow the style of that time, self-glorification and other personal motivations and above all drawing the attention of those eulogists who were infatuated by Arabic poetry.   Keywords: Arab poem, Khorasani's style of poetry, Manuchehri's style, pre-Islamic odes, style of Arabic poetry.  Manuscript profile

. Zahir Faryabi, was a sixth century A.H. poet born in Faryab(near Balkh) who immigrated to Neishabour and several other cities before his death in 598 AH in Tabriz. The beginning of Zahir's life coincided with the sedition of Ghoz that attacked Balkh and other cities in Khorasan. Thus Faryabi's immigration was not only due to a desire to seek literary knowledge but also for safety. That time there was families of Kharazmshahian, Iraqi Salajeghe and Atabakan who were not at all as powerful and glory as Ghaznavian and 1st Saljoughian, and poets had no honor and no reception. This was a matter which overshadowed poem’s of Zahir. Zahir ’s collection of poems consists of 3790 couplets of which 2292 couplets appear as 81 qaside (odes) and the remaining 1498 in other poetic forms. This article examines the texts from three perspectives: linguistic, literary, and intellectual by way of descriptive-analytical method. Manuscript profile

The purpose in this research is to show the influences of Hafez on Parvin Etesami in terms of thought and language. The method of research is based on Gérard Genette’s rather descriptive and analytical, but actually intertextual approach. Intertextuality relies on discovering influences and effects of texts upon other texts. Based on this approach there are no unique, pure, or all- inclusive texts. All texts are influenced by texts that existed before and will influence other texts in the future and such relation is present in the conversations that exist among texts (Genette). The terminology of intertextuality was first introduced in the late 1960s by Julia Kristeva. Gérard Genette is among theorists that utilized intertextuality in a practical manner and called it transtextuality. Our reading of Parvin’s Qasidahs and Hafez’s Ghazals reveals to us the presence of metatextuality and paratextuality from Genette’s five categories of Intertextuality, Paratextuality, Metatextuality, Hypertextuality, and Architextuality. The relations of metatextuality in some of the poetry by Parvin & Hafez are telling of Parvin’s adherence to cultural and intellectual principles of Persian classical poetry and Hafez’s critical positions on these matters.  Manuscript profile

Bahar is the first person who wrote stylistics in a methodological and scientific manner regarding the prose and defined it scientifically.  Although he didn’t live long to continue his research and do the same for the verse but he had scattered notes which later were collected.  In his book of stylistics, Bahar was more concerned with the linguistic aspect rather than other subjects.  The most prominent feature of Bahar’s odes is following the language of the past in all aspects especially in social and political issues the content was totally consistent with the details of the society of the day.  The movement of return to the ways of the ancients manifests itself mostly through their language particularly in their poetry.  In this article Bahar’s odes have been studied in terms of 1) phonology 2) morphology 3) syntax The phonology section is concerned with the characteristics of words such as tashdid, contraction, maximization, minimization, mutation in words and music produced by the proximity of words.  Morphology section deals with the employment of old words with fresh meanings and finally syntax is concerned with the structure of the languages in the past and their application in Bahar’s poetry focusing on supplements and variety of “ra”.
