Abstract :
Manuchehri Damghani (?-1040 A.D.), like his contemporary poets of that era, has paid especial attention to Arab poets and their poems. But the impression of Arab poems in his style is so prominent that distinguishes him from other poets who used Khorasani's style of poetry. The impressions of Arab poems in Manuchehri's style have shown themselves in different ways: writing several odes based on the patterns of pre-Islamic odes; Imitating those poets who wrote about wine such as Emra-ol-Ghays and Abu Novas; translation or adoption of some poetic themes; the use of Arabic sentences without any second motive or eloquence; and finally, mentioning Arab poets, myths and poetic beloved.Following the style of Arabic poetry is in sharp contrast with Manuchehri's innovations and creativity. Perhaps one of his motives was to follow the style of that time, self-glorification and other personal motivations and above all drawing the attention of those eulogists who were infatuated by Arabic poetry. Keywords: Arab poem, Khorasani's style of poetry, Manuchehri's style, pre-Islamic odes, style of Arabic poetry.
