The statistical population of this study was all female students with social anxiety disorder at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences 2018-19. The method of this research was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test and follow-up with the control group design. The research sample consisted of 30 individuals that were randomly assigned into two groups of 15 experimental and control groups. The tools used were the Social Anxiety (Connor et al., 2000), Back Depression-II (Beck et al., 1996) and Cognitive Attention Syndrome (Wells et al., 2009) questionnaires. The experimentation group was for 8 sessions, an hour, as a group, underwent meta-cognitive therapy intervention but the control group receive no any intervention. The crude data analysis using SPSS-21 software and descriptive and inferential tests, Univariate covariance analysis were performed. The findings showed that in the experimental group, a significant decrease in cognitive/ attention syndrome was observed after the intervention (P<0.001). These results were maintained during the follow-up stage (P<0.01). According to the results obtained, and the continuation of its effect, the use of meta-cognitive therapy is recommended to reduce the rate of cognitive / attention syndrome in patients with social anxiety disorder Results showed in the experimental group a significant decrease in cognitive / attentional syndrome after intervention (P <0.001). These results were also maintained at follow-up (P <0.01). Based on the results, and the continuing effect, the use of meta-cognitive therapy to reduce the rate of cognitive / attention syndrome in patients with social anxiety disorder is recommended. This research was a quasi -experimental. The statistical population of this study included all high school students in Tabriz, in the academic year of 2018-2019 that 45 students who received the test anxiety diagnosis in accordance with the cutoff score in the Sarason Test Anxiety Questionnaire were selected by multi-stage cluster and targeted sampling and they were randomly assigned to two experimental and one control groups(15 people per group). All three groups completed the Sarason Test Anxiety Questionnaire (1975) and Solomon & Rothblum's Academic Procrastination (1984) as pre-test and post-test. The first and second experimental groups received 8 metacognitive therapy group sessions and 8 dialectical behavioral therapy group sessions, respectively and the control group did not receive intervention. Data were analyzed using multivariate and univariable covariance analysis in SPSS.23 software. The results of covariance analysis showed that metacognitive therapy and dialectical behavior therapy affect on academic proclivity and test anxiety symptoms in students with anxiety disorder (p = 0.001), while meta-cognitive therapy is more effective than dialectical behavioral therapy in improving academic procrastination and test anxiety symptoms in students with test anxiety disorder (p = 0.001). Aim: The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy and behavioral activation therapy on reducing negative emotional regulation and increasing positive emotional regulation in female patients with dysthymic disorder. Method: The present study was a semi-experimental one with a pre-test-post-test-follow-up design with a control group. The statistical population of this research included all patients with dysthymic disorder who attended the psychological clinics located in the 8th district of Tehran, 45 of whom were selected in a purposeful way and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group. The instrument of this research was the cognitive-emotional regulation questionnaire of Garnefski et al. (2002) with the validity of 0.73 to 0.88. For the first experimental group, metacognitive therapy (Wells, 2009) and for the second experimental group behavioral activation therapy (Dimidjian et al., 2008) were held in eight 90-minute sessions, but the control group did not receive any intervention. The data were analyzed using mixed variance analysis and Benferroni in SPSS-26 software. Results: The results indicated that metacognitive therapy and behavioral activation therapy reduced cognitive-emotional regulation and its components at the end of the interventions and the follow-up period (p>0.05). Also, behavioral activation therapy is more effective than metacognitive therapy in reducing emotional cognitive regulation symptoms (p>0.05). Conclusions: Due to the effect of behavioral activation therapy on depression, it can be effective alone or with complementary therapy in reducing cognitive-emotional regulation and depressive symptoms in patients with dysthymic disorder.           The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of  metacognitive therapy on intolerance of ambiguity in students with obsessive compulsive symptoms. The present study is a semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest and control group design. The statistical population of the present study consisted of all female students ( 4558)  studying at high secondary schools in Khoy city From this population, a sample of 30 people with OCD diagnosis using yale-brown obsessive compulsive scale (Y-BOCS) was selected by available sampling method and were placed randomly in two groups of experimental (15 people) and control (15 people). Participants of the two groups completed the pre-test and post-test stages of intolerance of uncertainty (questionnaire), and in the meantime, the subjects of the experimental group were placed under the training of metacognitive therapy during 10 sessions of 90 minutes. Data analysis was performed using Multivariate covariance. The findings of this study showed that metacognitive therapy resulted in a significant difference between the groups in the total intolerance of ambiguity score and its components including inability to act, stressful and upsetting results of uncertainty, negative results of unexpected events and ambiguity about future Regarding the results, it can be argued that metacognitive therapy is effective on the intolerance of ambiguity and its components.     Manuscript profile

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is one of the most disabling anxiety disorders, with multi-dimensional and complex nature that requires ongoing investigations and treatments strategies. The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of metacognitive therapy (MCT), neurofeedback and treatment with fluvoxamine on anxiety, depression and symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder in patients. Therefore, in a quasi-experimental study with pretest, posttest, and control group, 40 patients with OCD were selected through purposive sampling method from clients referred to Kerman’s Center of Psychiatry and Psychology in Kerman, and randomly assigned into three experimental groups and one control group. Each experimental group experienced 10 weeks of treatment. The participants were evaluated for OCD symptoms, anxiety, and depression before and after treatment. Covariance analysis showed that the efficacy of three methods were effective on reducing symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety and depression. Comparison of the results showed that MCT has greater effectiveness than two other treatments and that neurofeedback therapy is more effective than pharmacotherapy in decreasing anxiety. It seems that meta-cognitive therapy and neurofeedback are effective in improving anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive symptoms in patients with OCD. Manuscript profile
