Islamic historiography has been full of ups and downs, and has beenaffected by many social and historical parameters, to such an extentthat some of these parameters, in the same way as a historicaldiscourse, have created a historiographical era. AbdulḥusaynZarrinkub’s works on the history of Iran at first centuries of Islamicperiod were of great importance and authority in academies in Iran.Du Qarn Sukut, written in thirties (Persian calendar), his most famouswork, presents a different account in comparison with Karnami-yiIslam, written in fifties. In his first account, Zarrinkub attacks theachievements of Islamic civilization in two first centuries, andconsiders Arab conquest as the reason of Persian’s misfortune; whilein his second account, admires this civilization, and considers thisencounter as a reason for flourishing and fruitfulness of bothcivilizations. This article tries to compare these two accounts ofIslamic civilization, and examine the aforementioned contradictionhermeneutically. Manuscript profile

Although islamophobia is one of the new expressions which specifically studies the relationship between Islam and Western opinions, it refers to prejudice or discrimination against Islam and Moslems. But it is not a new issue; because Islam's appearance was accompanied with the mentioned phenomena. In early Islam there had always been enemies and opponents who fight the Islam because their benefits were in danger. Islamophobia expression goes back to 1980s, but after 2001 September 11th attacks it becomes deeper and wider. The present paper attempts to present a comprehensive definition of Islamophobia initially and then introduces the fields and factors of islamophobia contagion in the contemporary era and finally suggests Quranic solutions and approaches to fight against this phenomena. The purpose of the present research is to study effective criteria on Russia’s policy towards Islamic countries in the Middle East after Arab revolutions. In this regard, the main research question of the current study is: what factors have led Russia to adopt a balanced policy towards Islamic countries in the Middle East during 2011-2020? Moreover, the research relies on the hypothesis that during that the above time period, Russia, on the one hand, assisted Shi’ite groups led by Iran to fight against excommunication (Takfiri) terrorism, and on the other hand, expanded its relations with Sunni Muslim countries in order to prevent stimulation of religious fundamentalism in its Muslim republics. The current study which was conducted by a descriptive analytic method in the theoretical framework of constructivism, presents a rather distinctive analysis of the essence of Russia’s relations with middle eastern Islamic countries after Arab revolutions. The results indicate that since Arabic revolutions in 2011 and formation of new groups in the regional and international level in the Middle East, especially the Syrian crisis that initiated a new stage in Russia’s relations with the Islamic world, Moscow has attempted to adopt a balanced policy towards Islamic countries in the Middle East to remove the danger of Islamic extremism, avoid tension with those countries and reinforce relationship with them. Therefore, it is expected that Russia highlights the role of Islam in its foreign policy and that Russian politicians show more interest in constructive collaboration with middle eastern Islamic countries. The present research aims to investigate the categorizations plan of political thoughts in the Islamic world based on the proportion and position of “religion” in “modern government” as a basis for classifying the new thoughts in the Islamic world. The categorizations include the ratio of Sharia to rule in the government, the validation of political wisdom and legacy integration. A descriptive-analytical research method is applied. The results show that “religious minimalists” consider the minimal role for religion and religious traditions for the government and take the modern religion and government as a barrier to aggregate and give the priority to the government to manage these world's affairs. “Religious maximalists” consider widely proportion for religion and divine traditions in the government and they don't separate current and second world that manage them by two distinct institutions. The governance gap is one of the most important political damages that can occur in a political system. These gaps arise due to the lack of a general agreement on the sources of power and how to distribute it, and arise from the inability of the political elites to provide a correct understanding of these issues. Therefore, when a military is faced with this injury, it suffers major problems in various fields, both domestic and foreign. In the Islamic Republic, in spite of the over-discourse of the Islamic Revolution for relatively long years, there has been no consensus among the political elites in various fields or it has been very weak, and this has led to the creation of various sub-discourses. These sub-discourses in conflict with each other have blocked the way to the correct policy making and have caused confusion in domestic and foreign policies. The present article, with the discourse method, while referring to these sub-discourses, seeks to understand the results of this governance gap in Iran's policies in the region and the Islamic world with the hypothesis that: "The governance gap in the Islamic Republic of Iran causes a decrease in the influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and This issue weakens the position of aligned Islamic countries and strengthens competitors." Salafism and neo-Salafism as a historical phenomenon in the Islamic world, in the last three decades, with the formation and intensification of the activities of Salafist groups, has become more prominent. This article tries to address the main question, what are the roots and historical contexts of the formation and growth of Salafism and its reflection in the Islamic world, especially in the recent crises in West Asia? The hypothesis of this research, by using a descriptive-analytical method, show that the rise and spread of Salafism is the product of a multidimensional and deep phenomenon of identity and politics as a subjective construct that is in dialectic with the objective realities of Islamic states and the interventions of the great powers has added to its complexity and breadth and fueled the differences and divergences among Islamic religions and states, especially in the last two decades in West Asia. Ever since the Prophet's mission and the presentation of Islam to humanity, the Qur'an and the infallibles have always emphasized the necessity of achieving convergence between Muslims, and reformers emphasized on its realization from the very beginning of Islam. The necessity of convergence is due to the fact that, unfortunately, harm has been caused to convergence and that is; According to the reasons that have a much lower strength and jurisprudential identity compared to the reasons for convergence, people beat the barrel of divergence. The main question of the current research is what are the jurisprudential foundations of Muslim convergence. The present article tries to comprehensively explain the issue of convergence and its necessity by using the descriptive-analytical method and by collecting information in a library and by referring to the books and articles written in this field. The results of the research show that in the discussion of convergence, reference to the book (Qur'an), Sunnah and the use of the consensus of the discoverer of the Sunnah and finally, reference to reason and the use of independent and non-independent intellectuals are pervasive and inevitable. Abstract Turkey is having an important geographical and political position in the Middle East and has great influence on political developments of this region. Since coming into power of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Turkey has tried to have a more important place in the political development of the Middle East. Turkey by having a legacy of last Islamic Empire has tried to revive its influence in the Islamic World. In this direction in recent years Turkey has introduced herself as a successful political and economic model to the Islamic World and the Middle Eastern countries. The initial years of success in democracy, economic development, political stability and playing the role of a mediator in regional conflicts had been index of Turkey's model but in later stage successive failure occurred. The internal problems that Turkey is facing along with regional and international problems in political and economic fields showed that the Turkish model does not have the former attraction and in practice has failed. Abstract: The present article tries to describe the internal and external challenges to the unity of Islamic world. In this direction the existing processes in the Islamic world have been explained to find out whether the present situation is an integration or disintegration. The present research by taking into consideration the realities of international system and the existing process in the Islamic world, wants to know whether the unity of Islamic world is possible in future? The finding of the study indicates that by examining the existing situation in the Islamic world one comes to the conclusion that  due to contradiction of the Islamic states, in short term we cannot witness the unity of Muslims. For solving this problem, first a plan of Islamic world unity should be prepared and this plan should initially bring about a consensus among the governmental and intellectual elite. Then practical measures and common programs should substitute hostility and contain extremism. Manuscript profile

< p >The topic of Turkish-Israeli relations is considered as one of the important issues in the regional, Middle East and Islamic world studies. The Republic of Turkey was the first country among the Islamic countries in the Middle East that has recognized the Zionist regime as a country and has established diplomatic relations with it in 1949. Relations between the two countries have a strategic nature based on the security needs of both sides. These relations have continued despite the political changes in Turkey and the emergence of the AKP, a party of an Islamic nature and policy.Israeli officials from every party, including Benjamin Netanyahu''s far-right Likud party, have pursued the policy of maintaining ties with Turkey. The military-security cooperation agreement between the two countries has been in force since 1996 and has not been repealed. Our major question is structured on the convergence and divergence factors, which have shaped the nature of Turkish-Israeli relations during the two last decades (2000-2019).Based on the theory of regional security complex, the framework of Turkish-Israeli relations has been analyzed. The descriptive-analytical model has been opted as the research method. Our analysis is relied on the documents, comments and reports of the experts. The concluding remarks state that in the current situation, Turkey and Israel continue their policy of alliance and co-operation, although this alliance is not sufficiently coherent and both sides use their leverages to force the other party to co-operate in certain circumstances.
