The purpose of the current study was to determine the effect of career counseling based on Cochran's narrative approach on the blind college students' career adaptability. This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and a control group. The population included all blind students of University of Isfahan and Azad University of Khorasgan in 2013-2014. Then, 30 blind students were selected through available sampling and were randomly placed into two experimental and control groups. Experimental group received career counseling based on Cochran’s narrative approach that involved seven sessions, lasting three hours each. Data were gathered by using Career Adaptability Scale (Savickas & Porfeli, 2012)and analyzed by covariance test. The results showed that this counseling intervention had significant effect on the dimension of concern, control and curiosity (P<0.01). However, it had no significant effect on confidence dimension (P<0.05). Generally, the results revealed that career counseling based on Cochran's narrative approach has infuence on the blind college students' career adaptability. Manuscript profile

The present study was carried out to study the relationship between career calling and academic satisfaction through decision-making self-efficacy and career adaptability and moderating of the educational level. The research method was correlational, structural equation modeling. The population was all students of University of Isfahan in 2014-2015. A sample of 300 students was selected by proportional stratified sampling method. Measurement tools included Career Calling Scale (Dik & Steger, 2006), Career Adaptability Scale (Savichas & Porfeli, 2012), Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale (Taylor & Betz, 1983) and Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire (Lent et al., 2007). Data were analyzed by multiple regression and structural equation modeling. The findings indicated the relation between having calling and decision-making self-efficacy depends on educational level (p<.001). In addition, the relation between having and searching calling with career adaptability depends on educational level (p<.001). Having career calling, directly and indirectly, through decision-making self-efficacy and career adaptability related to academic satisfaction (p<.001).On the other hand, at higher education students, educational level could moderate the relation between having calling and academic satisfaction through career adaptability and decision-making self-efficacy (p<.01). In general, self-efficacy and career adaptability are mediation in the relationship between having the career calling and academic satisfaction while, the educational level moderates these relationships. The purpose of this study was predicting career adapting indices including career exploration, career planning, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career networking behaviors based on career adaptability dimensions adaptability's dimensions. The research method was descriptive and correlational. Statistical Population was university students of Isfahan. From studied population a sample size of 450 students were selected through stratified sampling method proportional to volume. The Research tools were career adaptability scale (Savickas & Porfeli, 2012), career exploration survey (Stumpf, Colarelli & Hartman, 1983), career planning scale (Gould, 1979), career decision making self-efficacy scale (Betz, Klein & Taylor, 1996) and career networking behavior scale (Forret & Dougherty, 2001). Dimensions Results based on stepwise linear regression indicated that among adaptability, concern, control and confidence significantly predicted 37 percent of career planning variance. Also concern, confidence and curiosity significantly predicted 34 percent of career exploration variance. On the other hand, confidence and concern significantly predicted 20 percent of career networking behaviors. Also control, concern and confidence significantly predicted 55 percent of career decision making self-efficacy variance. Overall, the results showed the important role of career adaptability and its dimensions on predicting career adapting including career exploration, career planning, career decision-making self-efficacy and career networking behaviors.
