Archaism is a kind of deviation and deflection of the common and soft language and the use of the obsolete or syntax unusual in the modern language. Perception of these terms requires hesitation in the language and its revolution. Change in language is natural that some vocabularies and structures are entered in the language and some of them are obsoleted. In this article, the pomes of Parvin Etesami and Frough Farrokhzad were investigated accordingly in documentary method. The connection between Parvin and Khorasani and Eraqi styles has led to manifestation of archaism significantly in her poems and the consistency of her poems lies in the connection to the Iranian ancient literature. However, archaism is not seen significantly in the poems of Frough Farrokhzad, the contemporary poet of Parvin according to thepoet’s modernity and the proximity of her language to the modern speech and the use of modern vocabularies. In some cases, this trend has caused to vulnerability in the soft language of Frough. Twelve poems of the Frough Captive Poems and ten odds of Parvin have been studied comparatively. It was concluded that Frough has chosen the ancient literary men style in use of some common adverbs and adjectives. Parvin has employed old vocabularies and reduction of conglobation in terms of syntax and use of words instead of each other in ancient form and archaic experience and continuation of the heritage of the ancient art in the modern art. Archaism is one of highlighting and personazing methods of language. This method is one of unfamiliarity of ancient elements (archaic) of language. The use of historical language elements in texture of time after it is called archaism. Language units (such as morpheus, words, phrases, grammatical structures) have time seal on themselves, which means historical nature and language historicity. If we seperate past language elements from historical situations and transfer them to subsequent periods of language texture, then the speech time’s norm is broken and the speech takes distance from the historical texture which is born. Deep link of Parvin’s poem with Persian language and literature is clear and obvious in her various and perfect poetry. By passing centuries, Persian language has deserved her strength and authenticity dynamically. That shows richness of Persian language in vocabulary and content. Among contemporary poets, Parvin had tendency to classic poetry and she chose and used archaism as a place for making eloquence of language. Vocabulary and grammatical archaism in Parvin’s poetry has special position. In this research, I study four minimal stories of this famous poet based on the effect of ancient grammar and vocabulary in her poems that how much Parvin’s poetry was affected by which one of archaism types. Epic Archaism (Distinct feature of the style used in Qaysarnameh written by Adib Pishavari)   *Safa Kazemian Moghadam PhD student, Persian language and Literature, Ferdowsi University, Mashhad, Iran. **Farzad Ghaemi Assistant Professor, Persian language and literature, Ferdowsi University, Mashhad, Iran. Date of reception: 96/10/11 Date of acceptance: 96/12/6 Abstract Epic archaism is the simultaneous employment of epic as an influential and elevated style mingled with a form of archaism which lead to the sublimity of poet’s language. Qaysarnameh composed by Adib Pishavari is a complete example of using epic as a model blended with archaism as far as diction, syntax, and rhetoric are concerned.  This historic epic more than any other works in its era had remained devoted to the linguistic and literary traditions of his ancestors. Adib Pishavari has made tremendous effort to preserve Khorasani language.  Inspired by Shahnameh and using it as a model he took profound care to adhere to its style.  Archaism is one of the main reasons for preservation of epic language in Qaysarnameh.  This research studies different aspects of epic archaism in this work.  This quality in Adib’s poetry had found stylistic individuality in terms of diction, syntax and rhetoric.  Making words with new political, social, and military expressions, representation of Khorasani syntax and creation of compound images based on the ancient epic similes are among the principle features found in Qaysarnameh.     * . safakazemian@gmail.com ** . farzadghaemi@gmail.com Manuscript profile
